Seven Minutes Ella by SANS

We had a wonderful time at 7 Minutes! Our hosts were so very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! The room was very spacious, which was excellent because we needed to unpack/repack the room. It was also a really good temperature in the room, and the fact that the windows opened was a bonus. I loved my stay here! (Also, a tip for access - it is easier to walk/drive to the property if you follow along the main road north to Sapumaltenna Road)

The location, staff and value of this property are all fantastic. This hotel had just changed owners when we stayed. The new owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The family room was spacious and very comfortable. There is a very comfortable sitting area on the first floor which was a lovely place for a cuppa. We would stay here again with our three children (10, 8 and 6)

It got a little stuffy one night however the staff happily provided us with a fan and it was perfect.

Have a shower in the evening as the water is cold in the morning. Watch out for the dollar to Rupee exchange rate when paying your bill as they will overcharge. It's a shame they are not more honest with their description on booking.com as we did not get the standard of room that we were lead to expect. They seemed to have included all sorts of facilities that are not available. This is the description of our room on booking.com :- This double room's standout features are the sauna and fireplace. Offering free toiletries, this double room includes a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a bath and a hairdryer. The double room offers a private entrance, a tea and coffee maker, as well as a terrace and a patio. The unit has 1 bed. There was NO sauna or fire place, not that we were expecting these. There were NO toiletries other than a tiny bar of soap There was a private bathroom There was NO walk-in shower or shower screen, it wet the whole bathroom floor There was NO bath There was a hairdryer There was a private entrance There was NO tea or coffee maker There was NO terrace or patio There was a bed The room was small with very little room around the double bed. There was no veiw outside and little light through the frosted glass window. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. The room had no air conditioning, but as Ella is 1,000 metres above sea level it's not as hot as the South so an air conditioner is not necessary. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the inclusive breakfast was good but a little repetitive after a four night stay. The location was good for the town, about a ten minute walk. The last 150 metres or so was very dark at night, so best take a torch.
