I absolutely loved my stay at Rock View Hostel. Not only was the staff incredibly helpful and kind, all of the people staying at the hostel were awesome. It was super easy to connect with other travelers and go on adventures - in part due to the common areas facilitating good vibes and allowing everyone to hang out. Being able to use a kitchen was also a HUGE plus especially with the restaurants in Ella charging tourist prices…
Also, when I asked for an extra blanket, I was given TWO more just in case. Comfy beds and plenty of space in the lockers to keep bags out of the way.
All of the facilities were cleaned constantly (bathrooms, floors, bedrooms,…), the showers had hot water, and the WiFi was strong enough to support me working.
Can’t recommend this place enough!!!

Good restaurant, accommodating staff. A bit hard to find but really nice views and location. Not central in town but not a big hassle if you want that.

Accept card but 5,000 minimum (3 nights). I bought beer and water to make up the 1,000 difference. New total 5.85K, staff then told me beer and water is cash payment only.
Outside after is cool, dorms are sub standard. It’s cheap enough to ignore some of the issues.
After I checked out they purposely turned off the sockets meaning I was unable to charge my laptop. Very tedious and unnecessary.
