Everything was perfect !!!

We had a wonderful experience staying here – just an easy 8-minute walk from Ella train station, which was super convenient. The host was amazing and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. He even organized a special trip for us to visit secret waterfalls, where we could swim and enjoy the peaceful surroundings – it was a true highlight of our trip! The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning, overlooking lush green mountains. It was the perfect spot to relax with a cup of tea and soak in the beauty of Ella. The hospitality, the scenery, and the overall atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Ella!

Room and bathroom are big, with balcony. The staff prepared the breakfast for next morning to take with us, and it was delicious. Really friendly, kind and helpful, like all the people in sri lanka. Its a lovely place and just 10’ walking to the train station

The place is in a high location. But not a problem for healthy people

People tried to be nice and helpful.

First of all the owners Yapa and Kumari are not there anymore. All the good recommendations were based on them and this was a reason for us to book this Homestay. Most of their employees were nice, but their English was not good enough to talk or even clarify things. Most of the times they did not understand us. That was really frustrating. Taxi/Transfers We wanted to book a transfer from Ella to Tangalle, and the host wanted to charge us the double than the usual price. By the way even booking transfer is way cheaper. Also the Safari price was everything else than fair. Bathroom The water from the sink was super dirty ( brown ). We asked why, and he said it was because of the rain, but it doesn't make sense because the water from the shower was fine and nobody else we got to know in Ella had this problem. Balcony There is a wesp nest what does not make fun to enjoy there being nervous the whole time Laundry This experience was more than frustrating. The employee offered us to wash our clothes and said that it would cost us 900sri currency per KG. Other laundroes just charge 600 and have at least a dryer. In the end, he charged us 2,5 KG, and our t-shirts were not even 1 kg. After complaining he didn’t text us back just after we paid the woman and left Ella. Also clothes were even more dirty than before. One day later we saw that they are drying other clothes on the dirty roof. Unfortunately my dress is completely ruined now. Internet The internet did not work most of the time. We also found an earlier comment that the Wi-Fi had problems already in mid of march. Location If you don‘t consider yourself as a sporty person you can not walk up that hill several times a day. The air distance from the One Love bar is so close that you feel inside of the bar because of the noise. In general for this price we expected something completely different. We have been in cheaper but way better and cleaner places than that one. We can not recommend to stay here.
