Most amazing and welcoming family and amazing cook our host went above and beyond to make us comfortable to the point were i fell ill on are day of check out they went and got me medication will be back

- Very family-friendly atmosphere - The hosts were incredibly kind, caring and amazing with our kids - Central location: close to the train station, town, and restaurants, yet still quiet --> the stairs were no problem at all for us, even with a baby and a nearly 3-year-old - Delicious breakfast - The best homemade curry we had during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka

The bathroom could be improve - the hot and cold water was a bit tricky to manage

Ella Green Stay is a little green paradise in a busy Ella town (at least when we were there it was quite busy due to the most important local holiday), just a 5 minutes walk away from supermarkets and lots of restaurants. The owners are extremely friendly and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. The breakfast was very yummy and our kids enjoyed reading the books which were available for guests to use.

Just be aware you need to climb a few stairs with your luggage to reach Ella Green Stay. It wasn't a problem for us, but it may be for others.

The host and owner Dilrukshi was the sweetest, kindest lady. She tried to make our stay comfortable and was very accommodating to our needs. Also made a decent breakfast every morning. Dilrukshi has a green thumb, so there were beautiful potted plants and green shrubs all around, a testament to the Ella Green Stay name.

Didn't like the climb up to the facility at all.. Several steps up from street level, including the last 25 steps straight up on a narrow iron escape-ladder like arrangement. Had been warned about the climb and the owner did arrange help for our luggage to be carried up as promised. Still us having to climb up and down all the way was not fun. We are a couple in our early 70s. Would be fine for younger folk and those on a budget. Although the room had windows, couldn't open the curtains because other guests would be sitting outside on the porch. So no privacy. The room was damp, which worsened my cold.
