RiverBeds - Luxury Wee Lodges with Hot Tubs

The location was incredible and it qas very calming and relaxing.

The lodges were quite small & check in and out time is a little disappointing especially paying so much for one night stay. I understand late check out was optional but again at addition costs for a stay that is already quite costly.

Everything is beautiful so peaceful quality of things inside the cabin are perfect everything you need.

+ Great location for exploring the Highlands. + Clean and tidy pods that make good use of space, and the hot tub! + Friendly staff that go the extra mile, and make lots of recommendations.

- Be prepared for midges in summer! It can’t be controlled but it is a real pain if they get in the pod. - Temperature control in the pod isn’t very intuitive, and we found it very warm (without really being able to open the door and window because of aforementioned midges!)

It’s beautifully done. The lodge’s are very cool on the river bed and I would give them A for effort on comfort. Beautifully done and very clean and bathrobes and very comfortable bed and sheets. However we are very disappointed that we did not do any research on the Midges. We wish this place had some kind of disclaimer on that for the price tag. Because your have a warning on the welcome note. We could not be outside after 6pm or during the morning not even for 30 seconds.

There was 2 moments we had to take cover from some people playing gulf, that is really scary to have to dodge flying gulf balls while walking on the road you drive in to the property, so a ball could just fly into a car window or the lodge window. We even had some land on our deck. Super dangerous. Definitely someone will be injured and this place will be sued. Also we felt that the midges should be disclosed as it is in the manual about not leaving the door open for summer. We could not spend much time on the deck or even relax on the hot tub and enjoy the river sounds because the small flys are absolutely diabolical yes yes we tried the anti fly lotion and it barely worked. It’s too bad because this is a very expensive place and to have to find out about things like this during the stay is a let down. I would never stay here again. And it’s a shame because a lot of effort was put into making this such a great place it’s was very comfortable and we sleept well other then a few bugs coming in and biting us all night. Your basically trapped in your lodge And cannot enjoy anything outside other then playing gulf if that’s your thing. We also had to purchase the fire wood at a local petrol station because it’s an absolute mission to get an order on the website. They should be more aggressive about selling firewood and some kind of pine cone to prevent the midges flys from being so invasive.
