A fantastic holiday home in Fort William

The property is in a fantastic location, close to the train and bus stations, so it is easy to use as a base to explore the Highlands. We loved all being able to sit together in the living room which had fantastic views across the loch. The beds are very comfortable and all bedrooms having an ensuite bathroom was fabulous. Having breakfast provided was a real bonus.

Very neat. Idyllic location overlooking the loch and the mountains. Not within town centre but within walking distance. Facilities provided to a very high standard. We really enjoyed the stay and will surely book the accommodation again when in this part of the world.

The price tag a bit hefty but affordable. Also considering it’s a 5 bedroom with en-suite facilities in all the rooms, it could have accommodated 5 couples with an average of £170 per night per couple. Not bad!!

Perfect for a large group.

The property was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the breakfast supplies were generous considering that it is a self-catering establishment. The 5 bathrooms were great for our group of 10. The proximity to the town centre was a bonus as we could walk to pubs and restaurants. We were lucky to find this gem for our group as it meant we didn’t have to split up to different accommodation.

The initial impression is poor. The steps need a good clear out of leaves and then jet washing. The outdoor airer was full of wet washing and there were cigarette butts in the ashtray on the outside table. I thought for a moment that we were at the wrong place. Once inside the house is great. There was no dish towel in the kitchen as it was on the line and damp. The bathrooms could do with some shelving for toiletries, etc. The temperature of the shower in the far back bedroom was very erratic and the children couldn’t use it because of the fluctuating temperature making it too hot for them.

The best!

Perfect location! Im a Muslim and the property is only 6 mins away from Farmfoods (store with lotsa halal options). Incredible view from window. Perfect for road trip friends that mixes both men and women as each bedroom is equipped with their own bathroom.

Overview of our stay

The location and comfy feel of the property. Nice hosts who tried their best to help us in every way despite the rainy weather.

Apart from the low water pressure and occasional lost of hot water, the house was well equipped and met all our needs. Unfortunately the washing machine wasn't working but the host helped us with the laundry.

Excellent 5 bedroom property right in centre of Fort William

The house was modern, and once we turned on heaters, it was warm. Right in the centre of Fort William with 2 parking spaces, it couldn't have been more convenient. Really comfortable.

Just note that the stairs to get to the property are steep - we had 2 elderly travellers with us, but was fine once we got in. There was also a quirky ensuite down some steep stairs, so need sober young guests for that one!

Could not fault it at all!

Absolutely loved everything. So much more than we asked for or could have hoped for. Breakfast being included was the best thing ever we never knew this until we arrived but it saved so much time in the morning and the choice was great. Extra pillows were fantastic, the added soap and shampoo was a lovely touch. The fact you try so hard to be as eco friendly too is a major selling point for me I am a bit of a recycling/ eco geek when I can be and I know those toilet rolls are not cheap. With the cost of everything going up I really hope you can continue doing what you do because it is blooming amazing. Planning on doing the West Highland Way next year and you can bet that Anagrae will be my first place it book! Also that chocolate spread in those jars, omg delicious!

Fantastic place to relax and enjoy the surrounds

Warm floor of sunken bathroom was ace. Individual ensuites was great. Beds really comfy. Host Lance was very welcoming and delightful. Well equipped house with all you’d ever need. Very spacious. Great views.

Small issue with hot water which host sorted fast. Eco soap was not a winner. Hard to use.

Couldn’t warm the water for shower in rooms without an electric shower. Only space for two cars on drive and one parking permit for public car park but we had 4 cars.

Very fun and cute home in a great location. Host was very responsive. Only comment is a bit of a hike up or down stairs to get into home so might not be the best for someone with mobility challenges. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Great location with lovely views and very comfortable accommodation!

Great location and very comfortable. Spoke to the owners re the key safe number which Booking.com had got wrong info on. The owners were very friendly and helpful and came right away to help. Kitchen exceptionally well equipped and lovely outdoor seating area. Our two wee dogs loved the place as did we! Every room has an ensuite which was very convenient and amazing views from the front windows and terrace.

No TV signal, but we had come at very short notice and we weren't bothered.

Everything was there that we needed - it was great.

The only (small) thing was, we needed to use the iron and couldn't find the ironing board as it was hidden behind the kitchen door. But that was probably our fault for not looking hard enough!
