Very atmospheric stay, well located, nice owners

The owners, Paola and Pietro are the very best. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The rooms are very atmospheric, in an old Italian style. There is no lift and the rooms are on the second floor and Paola and Pietro helped us with our luggage. The location of the property is excellent for walking to sights like the Palazzo dei Papi and the Pellegrino quarter. They are about a 10-12 minute walk away, although it is hilly. Breakfast was served on a terrace looking out over the huge garden of the nearby Santissima Trinità church. A typical Italian breakfast is made up of sweet cakes and Paola had many homemade ones, but when we explained that we did not eat sweets for breakfast, she prepared a huge breakfast of meat, cheese, fruits, tomatoes and bread for us. She made coffee exactly as we liked it. Parking is free if you can find a spot along the wall of the Santissima Trinità church. It is only a half a block away.

1. The Internet was spotty at times. Paola explained that it was because they are installing 5G. 2. We had to pay cash. Paola says it says this in booking.com, but we must have missed this. So look carefully when you book. Having enough cash available is important. 3. If you have a car, the B&B could be hard to find. The entrance is down a small alley and when we were there in early September 2022, there were roadworks in progress, which made it hard to find. It is best to navigate for the Santissima Trinità church and park there and walk to the B&B. In spite of these three difficulties, we would stay there again without hesitation. It was one of our favorite stays in the Lazio region.

Paola is an exceptional host, going out of her way to help us during our stay. She also makes a great homemade Italian breakfast! The room and facilities were delightful and the B&B a quiet haven overlooking a beautiful walled vegetable garden.

This is a very nice place! You can’t go wrong booking here. And the host even gave us a gift of her home-made candied hazelnuts! Great stay!!

Perfect

Charming hostess who treated us warmly when we arrived much later than foreseen. She went out of her way to find us a restaurant where we could still eat at nearly midnight. Normally, breakfast consists only of sweet things which she bakes herself. As I only eat salty things she kindly provided her own supply of smoked ham and bread for me.
