A brilliant, biker-friendly stay with a top host — we’d happily return.

Paul was a really welcoming host and we had the place to ourselves for most of the stay, which was great. We travelled over on two motorbikes and being able to keep them warm, dry and secure in his garage was a real luxury, especially in the rain. I also had an alternator/battery issue and Paul kindly provided a charger to help me out.

Nothing major to fault at all — we had a really comfortable stay. Just worth noting there’s no breakfast, but the kitchen facilities made it easy to sort our own. Stairs-only access may be something to consider if mobility is an issue.

Generally good, but felt we were invading somebody’s private life.

Cleanliness , quiet, off-road parking and location.

Having to go out of the bedroom to access the toilet, and to another room for the shower. Also, the property was occupied by the owner some of the time and we felt a bit awkward using the shared kitchen and lounge area in particular. We were in somebody’s house and didn’t feel at ease walking about. Not the owner’s fault of course - just a strange and unfamiliar experience.

This was a great place, run by great people!

The place was great, with everything you could want! The grocery store was nearby, and the owners stressed that you are free to use anything in the kitchen. The people were great and very welcoming - as soon as I checked in, they offered me a Belgian beer and we chatted for a while!

Very affordable comfortable rooms in a shared home

Good location near Ypres and fully furnished home with availability of laundry. Host was very friendly and hospitable.

It is a home that has rooms rented out. Host is friendly and does not live on location though is routinely there and a cat is in garage and laundry room, if there are allergy concerns.

Above expectations i would definately book again.

Location was good only a few kilometres from Ypres Centre. Facilities were top notch. And even though i arrived in the early hours of the morning the key was left in a pre designated spot and i was able to get in and got to bed after a long days travel.

Yhis is a great place to stay when visiting Ypre.

This is a lovely house in a small, quiet area. It is only a few minutes drive from Ypres center. Paul is a pleasant and accommodating host and guests are given full access to all amenities. I look forward to our next visit.

Great place to stay.

Easy to get into Ypres and parking easy in town. Walking took about 25 mins. Lovely home with huge sitting room and kitchen to use for making breakfast - not included - and cooking a meal if so inclined - we ate out! Bedroom also very spacious with a large en-suite bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay in Ypres and at Chez Paul.

Welcoming Belgian homestay

Clean, spacious, house in a smart tidy suburb around 20mins walk into central Ieper, railway station en route if you need it. Lovely hosts, very welcoming. Two adorable pet rabbits in the garden to watch from the kitchen table. Huge,comfortable bed. Good wifi. Free parking. Communal kitchen and tv lounge. We were lucky enough to have the house to ourselves for our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. There's a basic friterie with tables around 10 mins walk if you don't want to go all the way into town and a bakery around 5 mins. We appreciated staying in what felt like a home, as a pleasant change from chain hotels.

We have stayed here several times . Paul and Ann are charming , helpful and kind. The room is comfortable and being able to use the kitchen and living room is excellent. It's a short walk to the town centre.

We had the whole house to ourselves...Paul was very welcoming and friendly. The use of the kitchen was a real bonus. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spick and span. The house is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood and within walking distance of Ypres town centre.

Nice stay in the suburbs

Lovely clean B & B , more like a regular home. Paul checked us in and left us at the property as there were no other guests on that day. He offered us a complimentary beer and showed us how to get into the Old Town which is a 25 minute walk. The walk to town was fine during the day but a bit eerie in the dark as the park nearby has no lights. A very comfy bed and lovely bathroom made our short stay very nice indeed. Good value B and B

Uitstekende locatie voor ieder die in de omgeving van Ieper wil verblijven. Een warm welkom gekregen van Paul die ook zeer bekend is met de omgeving. Verblijf is van alle gemakken voorzien en bevindt zich in een mooie en rustige buitenwijk.

Fijne verblijfplaats voor goede prijs.

Een zeer rustige locatie aan de rand van Ieper. 30 minuten lopen naar het centrum wat wij geen probleem vonden; maar het centrum is goed met de auto bereikbaar en er is gratis parkeren aan de rand, niet ver van de grote markt. De kamer is niet heel groot, maar je hebt gebruik van de woonkamer met keuken. In ons geval had niemand de andere kamer gehuurd, dus hadden we het huis voor onszelf. Prima badkamer en apart toilet.

Je kon zelf niet de verwarmingsthermostaat aanpassen. De gastheer Paul zette deze na aankomst een graad hoger. Maar met de zon op dat deel van het huis werd het te warm.

Quartiere residenziale e tranquillo. La cucina in comune veramente accessoriata, con un grande spazio pranzo e soggiorno, per non parlare del prato dei coniglietti. La camera e il bagno spaziosi.

Все дуже добре. Близько Брюгге, французький Лілль(батьківщина Де Голя). Дуже чемний і приємний господар Пауль. Дуже тихе місце для проживання. Меблі нові, сантехніка, посуд і кухонне обладнання супер ! Місто Іпр (Ieper) несподівано( для нас) виявилось дуже красивим і ми додатково запланували час для екскурсію по місту. Супермаркети в пішій доступності. Несподіваним бонусом стали 2 кролики - шиншили під вікном, котрі цілий день розгулювали на зеленій травці, а ми, сидячи на кухні через скляну терасу любувались ними. Для туристів зі своїм авто це місце найкраще з 30 тих, де ми раніше зупинялись !

De zeer rustige ligging niet te ver van Ieper centrum. De kamer was zeer ruim met fantastische badkamer. Goede uitvalbasis om de streek te verkennen. Er is ook een gemeenschappelijke keuken en salon ter beschikking.

Goe maar kon beter

Het ontvangst was goed. We kregen een drankje aangeboden van de streek. Ontbijt was er niet, maar dat was geen probleem er waren winkels in de buurt om iets te halen voor ontbijt. We mochten ook wel de keuken gebruiken van de gastheer. Dat is ook een pluspunt. Over het algemeen was het een goed verblijf.

Er zijn wat minpuntjes. De douchevloer is zeer glad. Een plastiek matje zou niet slecht zijn om er in te leggen. En wij hadden de kamer met bad. Maar het bad kon je niet volledig laten vol lopen daar de stop niet goe afsloot. En als je het bad liet half vol lopen(meer ging er niet in) dan had mijn partner in de douche geen warm water meer. En persoonlijk 9,4 vinden wij wat hoog gegrepen. Oke vriendelijk is de host wel maar eigelijk een ontbijtje had wel gemogen met lokale streekprodukten.
