Beautiful, sunny flat with lovely view and delightful interior décor.

The location next to the river was wonderful, and it was very easy to get to the city centre by bus or walking. The flat was large and had everything we needed, and more. The host is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The decorations in the flat were especially charming.

The bathroom was a little small, but still clean and suitable for our purposes.

Well placed, clean and fully functional apartment; great base to spend a few days exploring Plovdiv

Super friendly host who contacted us promptly to arrange checking in to the property and explained all the facilities. Excellent value for money in terms of the space, functional kitchen with adequate equipment. Clean bathroom that functioned well as a wet room. Good air conditioning, TV, radio, WiFi all available for use.

A lovely flat in the heart of Plovdiv.

Prime location close to the town centre yet very quiet. The flat is in an old building and is furnished very quirky with vintage desks, lights, a piano and lots of film memorabilia. The landlord came to meet us and helped us to find a free parking spot. A very kind and helpful man.

My only recommendation would be to have thicker curtains as there is a street light just outside the window which was shining straight on my pillow. Also very bright in the mornings.

Great value

Excellent location and friendly host! Wonderful for short stays, and great value. We greatly appreciated the a/c, and the room is full of quirky antiques. We actually really liked the building - rustic and authentic with old world charm.

As other reviews have said, the shower is just a handheld showerhead in the wc, which is totally fine for short stays. The towels had a strong musty smell so may need replacing or different storage space.

Cool apartment in a great location!

The original interior of the apartment... A wonderful view from the window of the Maritsa River... Close to all the sights, including the Old Town. Emil is a charming and friendly host, he will tell you everything and help you. I highly recommend it!

Comfortable well appointed apartment with a lot of character. Full of old-skool gear - old telephones, lights, desk & typewriter. Owner had roasted coffee and selection of his own tea selection - it all felt quite classy Lovely table looking out on street/river with windows on two sides - lovely place to drink a coffee and watch world go by Check-in experience hassle-free - easy and informative. Wifi good / hot water good - all good.

Delightfully retro small flat within walking distance of the historic sites

The flat was charmingly retro. The kitchen area had everything you might need for a short stay. Tea and coffee were provided as well basic condiments etc. The corner window with small table and chairs overlooked the river and was a very pleasant feature. The flat was within easy reach of the historic centre on foot.

The mattresses were not very comfortable! Perhaps younger travellers would find them adequate. A couple of small armchairs would be a useful addition - but that might necessitate removing the harmonium!

Retro vibe worth visiting

The location is great - near the pedestrian strip, the old town, the Natural History Museum and many shops and restaurants around. The atmosphere of the building and the apartment is unique. The host is very friendly and helpful, he kept in communication with us, gave us some great tips and helped us find parking.

Although the air-conditioning was on it was pretty cold.

A glimpse to the old times

Nice room very close to the old town. Easy parking on the street (you cannot book parking seats though). Romantic atmosphere and some lovely items scattered in the room (a small piano, a typewriting machine, an old telephone and so on. Easy communication with the owner who also provided us a free map of the old town.

Persistent cigarettes smell in the kitchen area (guests should learn to not smoking inside the room). Not very clean on the floor and on sanitary furniture. The terrace shown in the pictures is inside (like an inner courtyard) and not facing to the Maritza river.

Fantastic and economic stay in Plovdiv!

Good communication with the host, he speaks good english and was very helpful in giving information. He even offered to help us find parking for a rental car. Very clean and neat apartment, very nicely decorated and with a functional kitchen. Nice, clean and cozy experience.

Due to the layout of the floor drain for the shower, it could sometimes smell a bit funky in the bathroom. The curtains for the bedroom were not very darkening.

"Ok stay" for a night.

Easy communication with owner, who responded quickly and was flexible. Very central in down town. Quite place. Free parking.

Old apartment, almost a museum. Showering was so-so (small, not separated from toilet). But all in all it was okay.

An unforgettable place to stay with real character

The location was excellent with views of the Maritsa river. The apartment block does not look appealing from outside, but is deceptive, because once you are inside, it is like being transported to another era. The host has decorated the apartment with lots old and vintage items which really gives it so much character. The kitchen and bedroom are a good size. The host has supplied everything you could possibly need, including Turkish tea

The bathroom was very small and the shower is located above the bathroom door. Although it is a wet room, everything gets soaked with water. The bright orange streetlight outside the apartment makes it difficult to sleep. Darker curtains or a blind would help here.

Comfort and character, a home like mums.

One of the most beautiful, tastefully decorated, tall ceiling, antique filled suites I have ever seen. The place so much reminded me of my mother, her art and her antiques. Only these pieces havnt been abused by children or they have been restored. It’s central and best value. So cozy. So much character. I am sad, that I may never find a place as unique and satisfying as this to stay in again. I can only aspire to this memory one day. It’s like finding a lost children’s toy 🧸 many years later.

I only hope it’s appreciated as much as I appreciated it.

A lovely retro-style experience in Plovdiv.

The apartament is very retro style which makes it particular and cozy. Well situated from the city centre (around 12 min by walk), the room is facing the river and the river bank park full of trees overlooking a small side street. The place is very tranquill and peacefull. It is equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils and additional pillows with blankets.

The bathroom is very small and literally you take the shower over the wc after which it takes long to dry to acess it again. The amount of dust found on the pictrues and other objects indicates they were not cleaned for many many yeras. The kitchen superfices were sticky and the utensils needed to be washed before using. The towels were clean however with a weird odour as it was kept in a mouldy place.

The apartment is fantastic. Authentic furniture, well-equipped kitchen and beautiful view on the river. The owners is extremely nice and polite. You will find dozens of interesting interior details. I have never seen piano organ before. Now I am dreaming of having one, because it’s the most beautiful musical instrument I have ever heard.
