Could have been better.

Very little coffee for the morning. The bed for my son was not made up.

The perfect stay.

This was a spacious, very well equipped and nicely decorated apartment. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay from lovely crockery and cooking appliances to paper towels. A big bonus was having a washing machine. It’s a short walk to the main piazza. Free parking is a short distance away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our host Guilio was friendly and charming, and he gave us some useful information about restaurants and places to visit.

It was old and characterful, spacious, quite well-equipped and in a quiet street within easy walking distance of town shops and restaurants.

It was sometimes cold, the kitchen area was too pokey, some essential cooking utensils were missing and the bed(s) were just put-ups. The downstairs room was not a useful space. The swimming pool turned out to be a 10-minute drive away in a rather bleak location with nowhere to get changed.

Spello was our favorite hill town in Italy by far, our apartment was amazing and the host was super.

What a wonderful, gorgeous place to stay. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive when we arrived late and had trouble finding parking.

The apartment is right on the main street through Spello, so traffic sounds were quite noticeable during the morning commute on the narrow street outside.

The host was so kind and accommodating. The apartment was very comfortable. The location was perfect for us. The parking worked out, too. So worth it!

A Room with a View: wonderful, peaceful stay in the beautiful town of Spello.

The photos are totally representative of what to expect. This is a spacious, clean (very important to us!) and atmospheric apartment set in a former monastery, so extra points for how fantastic my singing sounded. 😆 Julian and his mother Luciana were wonderful hosts. My wife and I read a former review that mentioned something about a lack of coffee mugs…? All we can attest to is that now, there are mugs, cups, wine glasses, dishes, pots and pans and other cooking utensils that exceeded our needs. As for the location: excellent. At the top of old town and super close to free parking. And the view from the bedroom window? It’s exactly what one might hope to see from a hilltop town in Umbria.

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable apartment in stunning Spello. Nice host!

Loved the beautiful traditional furniture. The apartment is nice and big and the window from the bedroom has a stunning view. The location was also great. It was perfect.

Sadly the router for the wifi had gone in the storm so no wifi but it didn't really matter as we were only there 1 day and it was a Sunday. Guilio did offer in advance to get a new router if we needed it though but we said not to worry.

Great apartment in a beautiful town

Fantastic location, wonderful view from the bedroom window, large apartment and unique as it is part of one of the old churches. Giulio was just a delight, helpful and a good communicator.

We loved this place and would recommend it. Just for people to know, there are some steep stairs into the apartment, and the kitchen is small.

Famtastic location, large apartment in the historic center

The location is super, walking distance to all of the sights, restaurants and shops. The apartment is quite large, very comfortable and had an incredible view from both windows, especially the bedroom window overlooking the Umbrian countryside- Amazing! The host is super communicative and responsive which was really helpful.

Very spacious lovingly renovated old building at the top of Spello. Timeless views from the bedroom window of coloured walls & countryside. Owner Guillio was very helpful.

Water pressure is a problem. Probably due to the acute shortage this summer. Light in the kitchen would have been welcome. Altho the info says parking is available on site it is in fact about 250 m in Parking lot 4. The apartment is is on a narrow one way street & if you rely on your GPS you will not find it. Rely instead on Guillio’s instructions. These comments are only meant for information. They are not meant to deter from staying here.

A wonderful stay in Spello. Highly recommended.

Great location in Spello at the top end of town. The apartment is in the site of an old church with wonderful vaulted ceilings and is very spacious. Julio was very helpful and welcoming. A great stay in Spello.

Spello just as charming as we remembered, and apartment occupancy is the way to go for a 4-day visit

Location, spaciousness, cleanliness, ease of contact with owners who were very personable.

Shower cramped for tall people. Sitting area comfort just average. Since Spello has only one taxi, arrange pick-up for those arriving by train.

The location is great. The owner was kind and helpful. The apartment is big and conformable.

The parking is not so close to the apartment and it was a little bit tiring to carry all our belongings (considering also our baby's stuff).

Exceptional

The apartment was lovely and large!!! Located off the center of town. The owners were gracious and are just wonderful people. I was picked up at the train station which saved me the walk up hill! The apartment has a great well designed kitchen that has everything you need. A great dining area and large living room with a comfortable couch and chairs. Very large windows. And the apartment was very quiet! The bedroom also was large and very pleasant and I had a view! The ceilings have arches in them so architecturally it is great being there! Highly recommended. And there was a complimentary bottle of wine! Very thoughtful! I definitely will return.

Posizione top parte alta di Spello, park gratuito a 300 m; ambiente: antica chiesa ristrutturata, suggestiva con stile. Arredamento in stile, di classe. Servizio igienico valido.

Diciamo che gli scalini per salire sono problematici, portando valigie grandi, molto ripidi, però fanno parte delle caratteristiche dell’appartamento quindi tutto sommato non è un vero difetto. Assenza di uno specchio per controllare l’outfit (commento delle donne). Farei anche un piccolo appunto alla dotazione della cucina, posate e pentole, moka, insomma un po’ fatiscenti ma insomma niente di grave.
