Safe and right next to the train station.

As a solo female I felt very safe. Exceptionally friendly host. Very clean bathroom. Tasty and cosy breakfast. Walkable distance to the city centre. Friendly tip fur future travellers: take your favourite earplugs with you because you can hear noise from the hallway and other rooms.

We just had the most perfect weekend in this B&B. Everything was just perfect, great location, great rooms with comfy beds and superb bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the hosts were very welcoming and charming. Really recommended!

Excellent, best host I ever had

Kurt was a fantastic host, very friendly, open and helpful. I really liked the room - size, organic bathroom accessories and the shower :) Bed was very comfortable and had a nice sleep. Got personalised breakfast with juice, bread, jam from local sources and scrambled eggs from Porta' own chickens.

Superb

Excellent breakfast with very wide choice e.g. granola, cheese platter with excellent cheese, different sourdough bread choices, fresh orange jus and lots of egg options from their own chickens. Nice historic property which is excellently refurbished and is very comfortable. Kurt, the staff, is very attentive and makes sure you have everything you like. He can give you good advice where to visit, shopping and restaurant recommendations.

I have never had such a complete experience. Everything is thought out down to the last millimetre. Food, decoration, equipement, cleanliness and the bed ... oh what a beautiful and comfortable bed !

Our favourite place in Belgium!

A magnificent house beautifully decorated and turned into a B&B. We fell in love with the room and with our hosts. Kurt and Michael do everything to make you feel welcome and have a great stay. The showers in the room are eco and you can find many of the decorations in the room in the local shops (it's really cool that they are supporting local businesses, especially during times like these). As we spent the valentine's day there, they offered us some lovely chocolates and wine. In the morning, we had an amazing breakfast brought to our room, which included eggs from the chicken in their garden (do pay them a visit, they are lovely). We can't wait to come back this summer and also enjoy the beautiful garden! Too bad there isn't a higher score than 10, this places deserves it!

A perfect stay, I will be back!

The B&B is simply fabulous - Michael and Kurt have spared no detail. My room was spacious, ultra comfortable and spotlessly clean. The special steam shower and aromatherapeutic bath products really made me feel like I was in a spa. The breakfast was great, with homemade bread, eggs from the chickens in the garden, and local cheese/charcuterie. The B&B is in a very good location, a few minutes walk from the main train station as well as from the old town centre of Mechelen. I will be back!

The room was very clean. Lovely shower. There was a table in our room where we could have breakfast and dinner. The B&B is perfectly located to discover the city(center) by foot.

Absolute aanrader als je in Mechelen bent!

We vonden het geweldig om hier te verblijven. Kurt was enorm gastvrij en heeft ons ook zeer goede adviezen gegeven voor ons verblijf in Mechelen. Het ontbijt was fantastisch, de kamer prachtig, de bedden zeer comfortabel. Al met al een absolute aanrader!

Geweldig verblijf met zeer vriendelijke gastheer.

Zeer hartelijke gastvrije host die er alles aan doet om het verblijf je naar de zin te maken. Heerlijke bedden en de inrichting is met zorg samengesteld. Het ontbijt was geweldig met lokale producten, tevens met zeer veel zorg bereidt. Kortom zeer gastvrij verblijf met alles tot in de puntjes voor elkaar!

De waskamer lag naast die van ons en gaf in de zondagochtend wat overlast.

Rigtig god beliggenhed. Meget tæt på togstationen og overraskende tæt på hyggelige gader med gode restauranter og en hyggelig park. Vi foretrak faktisk nærområdet frem for det travle centrum (kun 15 minutters gang fra hotellet), da det var mere roligt og også smukt.
