Good location

Very very tired. Gloomy room with stained carpets, scratched and worn furniture and daisy-chained electrical outlets. Unannounced work on the only lift made it difficult to check out

Nice but not perfect.

Good location.

The room was not super clean and the drains in the bathroom were smelly. This made it a bit uncomfortable. This is an easy fix and with some extra care and attention to detail.

Good hotel and value in Mechelen

I had been in an NH Hotel in Brussels and cannot recommend that, BUT this Mechelen NH hotel was fine: big room, very clean, good bed, good location near restaurants and main part of town. Nice reception staff. Goof value.

The only nice thing it was staff.

First we have suv ford, couldn’t fit car in hotel garage, before that staff told us it will be cheaper to use there parking but we needed to go to other one and turns out the other was was way way cheaper. Bed were hard and not comfortable at all. Room supposed to be pet friendly it was not even human friendly, first thing the hot wave hit you when you come in, open windows didn’t do anything it was literally no air to breathe, couldn’t sleep because of that and because of the bad location opening window was not an option as outside noises were just too much. Elevator is so small that barely can for 2 people with suitcases. Horrible experience for that price. Not worth it

Not quite the NH hotel I expected.

The location of the hotel was good and within easy reach of the centre and all touristy locations. The staff were friendly and helpful although the hotel was not as I had remembered from previous visits in the NH chain.

There is no bar in the hotel, with only a vending machine catering to guests. There were a number of issues which despite reminders, were not (or could not) be addressed. The first concerning a problem with the lift doors which failed to operate correctly and made using the lift concerning. Coffee making facilities in the room were of little use due to oversized cups provided for its use. The bathroom sink remained partially blocked for the period of our stay, there were no hooks on which to hang towels and for the benefit of older guests there were no grab rails to assist getting out of the shower/bath.

Location was great, parking (15 eur) safe and easy; breakfast was nice. Towels and linens were fine; staff was very helpful.

My first room had leftover food in the fridge, no hot water, funky heating, slightly funky carpeting. Second room had a broken thermostat but otherwise fine.

The location is perfect for the liveliest areas of Mechelen whilst the city falls asleep very early and wakes very late... no noise issues at all. Everything was clean and the hotel is small and modern. Breakfast is excellent.

The location was ideal, right in the city center surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops etc. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

The wifi was the worst wifi I've had at any hotel. You had to pay 9 euros to have a decent connection, such a bummer

Room clean enough, but, general house keeping needs a good shake up.

Location was good and reception staff excellent. Parking directly beneath the hotel was a bonus as we needed secure parking for my Harley- Davidson motorcycle.

Breakfast advertised up until 10-00 my wife and I were there at 09-05 and the choice was not what we expected. Where other guests had taken their pick of the food it had not been replenished, the edges of the cheese squares were hard, the orange juice was empty and no staff on hand in the room to do anything about it, soft boiled eggs had not been replaced, the scrambled eggs what were left of them were dry and hard at the edges so that was given a miss basically it was a very disappointing affair. The lift is not big enough, as all guests presumably have luggage if one guest has a case you cannot get in with your luggage and other floors call the lift it stops at their level and comes to your level and you're stuck waiting again as you cannot get in once more. The room the coat hanger was hanging out of the wall, the fridge didn't work, the bathroom door would not lock/close and totally unbelievably one of the bath towels had a HOLE in it. DISGUSTING house keeping in our opinion. Also the advertisement of a bar was a joke, buy a bottle from reception and drink it in the lobby lounge or your room. Needless to say we ate and drank at another venue. I also found the parking although immediately below the hotel the price for my Harley-Davidson motorcycle was a bit steep when it could have been parked in the car park next to the push bikes as there was ample room and free of charge.

Perfect for 1 night, walking distance from city centre and railway station

In 15 minutes walking distance from the railway station. And also close to the main square (Grote Markt). Thanks to air conditioning in the room it was pleasant even on a hot day (ice cream shop just across the street). Big windows out onto the street, but the noise did not bother me. I loved watching people cycling to work while sitting at the breakfast table. And Mechelen is definitely worth another visit!

The staff, the young lady at the reception when I checked in on April 10th was very helpful! I checked in 2 hours earlier than the normal check in time, and she offered me an earlier check in as a room was available. She also borrowed me her spare set of Iphone charger when I forgot mine; this was extremely kind of her to me and I really appreciated it!

The twin bed was a bit inconvenient as its blanket was short and small.
