The hotel is a little out of the town centre and is surrounded by building works at present, which should be great when finished. It's a lovely old building with high ceilings and spacious rooms, built around a central lake and courtyard. I had room 002 on the ground floor, which had 2 steps down upon entering but was otherwise pretty accessible with a large wetroom and separate toilet. The bed was a little soft but otherwise the room was very pleasant, with air-conditioning, coffee maker, fridge with bottled water, TV and decent WiFi.
The breakfast was a very good hot and cold buffet, and the dinners were of a good standard. There was an outdoor terrace bar open or you could order drinks from the restaurant bar. The indoor bar opens outside summer days.
All staff on reception and bar/restaurant were very friendly and efficient.
