Neli & Zaal Guest House

Zaal was geweldig! Het is een prachtig huis met een hele mooie tuin. Ontbijt was een mega aanrader. Werden super ontvangen incl. wijn en chacha. Een verblijf om nooit te vergeten. In 20 min loop je naar oude centrum om bijv te eten bij Odlisi Cheese Bar. Ze hebben uitstekende tips en heerlijk verblijf gehad.

Zaal is a warm + hospitable host who made us feel welcome and shared a bottle of his own wine with us. We had 2 rooms which shared a large terrace with a sofa overlooking their beautiful garden. Old house with a lot of charm. Nice view of mountains in the distance.

The house is some distance from Telavi town centre; walkable - downhill to get there and uphill to get back, and probably not recommended in the dark. Makes it tricky to eat dinner in town unless you have wheels or choose to Bolt.

The room with the balcony was brilliant and the breakfast was delicious. But the very best thing were Zaal and Neli, the most hospitable and generous of hosts. We wish we could have stayed longer

The room had a nice balcony with great view of the beautiful garden and valley beyond. We had breakfast as well as one dinner. All the food was excellent! Zaal was very generous with his wine and chacha (both very good), and we had great conversation. Zaal also arrnaged for a driver to take us around the region one day and to pur next destination the following day. We will happily return! Thank you, Zaal and Neli, for your gracious hospitality! Edited to update: we ended up staying at three other guesthouses while in Georgia. While all were wonderful, Neli & Zaal's is the best! They offer the best hospitality and welcome, the best food and wine of all the guesthouses we stayed at (Zaal is a talented winemaker as well as host!), and the best accommodations.
