Relaxing stay with plenty of outdoor space.

A very nice studio with a large patio and expansive garden. Location was out of the center via one bus, nice to be in a neighborhood. Angela, the host, was very helpful and friendly. Provided us with a nice selection of beverages and cookies upon our arrival.

Only thing missing was a few basic kitchen items like salt and pepper or olive oil but markets nearby.

Great place to stay in Bern

Great space with quality fittings and appliances. Loved the free snacks and drinks =) Angela is a great host, she will meet you on check-in (which in this case, ended up being earlier than expected, so thank you!). Location is ok, nothing special, supermaket within walk distance and easy to get public transport to city centre.

There is a construction which gets quite noisy during the day (during the week). Big doors could have fly screens so you could leave them open and not get bugs inside.

Cycling around France and Switzerland

The apartment was fantastic, large (45m2), with everything except a microwave. It is called Il Cubo after the cube inside the apartment that houses the bathroom and the kitchen at the back. The ground floor apartment is set in lovely grounds with a great outdoor area to enjoy the gardens. Our host was extremely helpful.

Il Cubo was one of our most enjoyable stays in our dozen European trips.

One of the reasons we choose Il Cubo was because it looked artistically unique, and we were not disappointed. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but the backyard landscaping made it feel like a quiet personal hideaway. It is close to several good restaurants and a well-stocked convenience store at the nearby gas station. The nearby bus stop route takes you to the main train station in Bern, right on the edge of the old town. Il Cubo even provided us with a free bus voucher for the length of our stay. The location is also within a few minutes of the highway, which was convenient for day trips to Thun, Lauterbrunnen, Neuchatel, and Murten. Our host Angela was fantastic, stopping by each morning to see if we needed anything, taking care of all our needs, and she even did our laundry because the nearby laundromat we had planned to use was no longer self-service. She kept the fridge well-stocked, and there were all the kitchen necessities to enable us to cook and prepare some meals. The name Il Cubo apparently comes from the unique cubicle structure in the center of the apartment, which Angela’s husband designed and built. It contains all the necessary elements of a rental apartment into one central location. One side is the kitchen, the other is the bathroom and shower. One end is for multiple storage cabinets, shelves, and hangers, and the other end (I believe) contains the environmental appliances.

On-street parking in the residential neighborhood can be problematic, requiring a CHF15 per day parking permit. However, Angela was nice enough to let us park in a space on the property. That space, however, is not always available. If you're not used to the space limitation of Swiss parking spots, it may take a bit of practice to learn how to negotiate the manuver without scraping the car.

The perfect apartment in Bern.

In the middle of a wildly romantic garden, a modern cube is equipped with everything you need for a few days' stay. Comfortable, clean apartment with a warm and soft bed. With a large terrace where you can comfortably have breakfast. Quick check-in and check-out, with comprehensive information. I was even able to park in front of the bamboo forest. :) Free public transport during your stay. Thank you Angela for the hospitality.

Treat yourself in Bern

It was a large comfortable space with everything we needed and it was beautifully designed. We loved the garden and the fresh apples and grapes. Angela was delightful and helped us with our plans. The kitchen was well equipped. We also enjoyed the many extras Angela left us, drinks,chocolate and biscuits. We were also able to park our car on site.

Beautiful place to spend a couple days out of the old town!

Angela was really helpful, welcoming, the apartment is lovely and quirky- the plums from the garden were delicious! We really enjoyed having morning coffee on the patio, and the stock of vegan treats she provided! Also the shower was excellent! Would love to come back and spend more time.

The only issues for us were it not being completely blackout at night, and the pillows. I'm used to harder foam pillows rather than feather ones, but this is really just personal preference.

Very comfortable

The place is quite big and has a beautiful outdoor shared garden, so when you wake up you can hear birds. The host provides a very welcoming experience by making sure you have some gifts like swiss chocolate and biscuits.

I was there during end of April which is not the coldest season but there were a few moments where I had to put the heater to max because it was too cool inside and there is only one duvet. I do not know how it is conditioned for the swiss winter but it is great for summer.

The design and functionality of the space has been very well thought through. All furnishings are great and overall this is just a fantastic space. The host is also great and caring to ensure that you are welcome and comfortable, without invading your space. The space for a whole week made for an exceptionally comfortable and fabulous week. I could not offer any advice for improvements (I have zero complaints), it truly is great.

Una casa super attrezzata, libri, elettrodomestici, cucina con ogni dettaglio pronto all'uso. Il giardino è rilassante e ha uno stile perfetto. Silenzioso. Anche se a due passi dal centro. Un autobus passa spesso e si ferma sotto casa. Letto comodissimo. E poi l'accoglienza di Angela è stata eccezionale. Al nostro arrivo di sera ci è venuta incontro in strada per renderci agevole trovare la sua casa. Una presenza sempre discreta e piacevole. Super super host

Sehr schöne, ausgefallene Unterkunft in einer tollen Lage. Die ÖV sind nur ein paar Schrittte entfernt und können gratis genutzt werden, was wirklich toll ist, wenn man die Parkplatzsituation beachtet.

Eccezionale

L'appartamento è estremamente curato, pulitissimo e funzionale. Nella cucina non manca niente, c' è l occorrente per cucinare tutto ciò che vuoi. Anche nel bagno trovi saponi, shampoo e creme e la doccia è molto comoda. Letto comodissimo e giardino incantevole. La proprietaria inoltre è davvero gentile, sorridente ed è stato un piacere parlare con lei, è raro trovare una persona così attenta ai dettagli e alle esigenze dei propri ospiti. Lo consigliamo assolutamente.

Wunderschönes Paradies für echte Erholung.

Stilvoll eingerichtet, schöner Garten mit Terrasse, interessantes Konzept alles in einem Raum zu haben. Sehr ruhig. Perfekt für Alleinreisende, Paare und sogar mit Kindern. Direkte Busanbindung vom Hauptbahnhof in 15 Minuten alle 10 Minuten.

Tolles Objekt. Mitten im Grünen, herrlich ruhig gelegen, aber gut an den Nahverkehr angebunden.

Es gab nichts zu meckern, aber der Fernseher hatte keinen Empfang. Wer braucht den schon im Urlaub!

입구부터 독특하구 정원두 예쁘구 전체적으로 너무 잘 꾸며놨더라구요 안젤라는 넘 친절하구 냉장고에는 물, 음료 맥주까지 있어서 좋았습니다 . 위치두 버스가 10분마다 있어서 불편하지도 않아서 강력 추천드려요 다시 오게 되면 또 묵을 의사 있어요^^
