Do NOT stay here!!!! It's a bully vile woman

The place was a mess!, 5 lights were broken in main lobby and stairs was pitch black nearly fell down the stairs with my baby! When owner told she sends people round at night hammering the doors and windows! When I told the owner it is too late at night and scaring my children you horrible woman, to then threaten to travel 4 hours to the property "to sort this out in person"! We left the property after that at 11pm at night with a baby and did not stay the rest of the time and refuses to refund us knowing we cut the stay nearly 5 days short. I promise you, its freezing cold and she controls the heating my baby and husband now have a chest infection because of this! Because she wanted to line her pockets and reap the maximum amount! Disgusting! I have all the evidence of a filthy home not worthy of spending £1400 on! I have the threatening text messages in black and white and I have the video evidence of the doors and windows being hammered. I will see you at the small claims court Tessa! If you want any evidence I have it all I am not a bitter person i am here because my brother died and this is the treatment me and my family receive!!!

lots of room, quiet, secure, nice garden space and with bus stop for bus direct into Exeter right outside the door. house had everything you need in it.

would be ideal to have private parking at the property, but we never struggled to get parked with a minute or twos walk.

The perfect Christmas break!

loved the quaintness of the cottage and was very accessible to the m5 and the town of Exeter. Very cosy and homely, well equipped and clean. The owner was very easily contactable and accommodating. Loved the Christmas tree… lovely touch!

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.. only comment would be that the garden was a bit more secure for the dogs.. had to watch them in the garden.

Beautiful cottage, great facilities, wonderful location.

This is a wonderful cottage in a delightful setting we will certainly be coming to again. The cottage has a wonderful garden and all the facilities inside that you would need. The location is excellent for trips to Exeter and beyond or a walk to Double Locks. If you don't have a car there is a bus stop for the A bus opposite and buses are every 1/2 hour into Exeter.

On arrival, we had to do a bit of cleaning.

Nice , comfortable , lots of room , lovely little outdoor space and quiet and easy access into the city centre … we would definitely stay again

We found it a bit difficult to park some evenings and had to park the car quite away from the property .

Lovely homely place to stay.

Lovely home with a beautiful garden to relax in. The house was well furnished and had everything you needed e.g. cooking equipment, washing facilities and tablets etc. It also had some lovely pottery and paintings which made it very homely. In particular the lounge has a lovely feel with high ceilings and artwork. The area feels safe and there is a decent pub just round the corner which had a range of veggie and vegan meals served til 8.30pm which being veggie was a nice backup to have! The bus to town stops on the road so very handy. The owner even left a box of chocs, as the holiday was for my birthday this was a nice extra gift!! Thanks for a lovely stay.

There was a dead bird in the garden, thanks to the local wildlife I expect! This was removed on our last day when it seemed a gardener had been, so just a shame it wasn't spotted before we got there, just bad timing I expect. We hadn't initially realised we were on external CCTV when arriving so I think this could be advised in the booking details, as whilst understandable for security it feels a bit intrusive to not be forewarned.

Beautiful quaint and cosy cottage - short drive or 20 mins walk from Exeter. Only half an hour to coast. Enclosed garden.

Great little hideaway, convenient for Exeter

A really quaint holiday home with lots of character. Lovely comfortable beds and clean linen. Very warm house and felt cosy in the evening, was nice to shut out the February wind and rain! Great location, Spar up the road and close to Exeter which was the purpose of our visit. Helpful owners. Would recommend this home..... but mind your head....low gate!

Struggle to find dislikes but if I'm being picky would have liked more glasses, mugs, utensils and better pans for cooking. (There were ample but I like to fill the dishwasher before running it. ) Also a better vacuum cleaner would help! The decor is a bit dated but we didn't mind that, it was fitting with the age of the place. The garden had lots of dog poo but that is the fault of previous occupants (not all dog owners are responsible ones clearly!).
