Home away from away , had everything we needed for the stay and was in walking distance to everything.

Great location, clean, bad shower, no wardrobe, kitchen not very useful, noisy neighbours.

Great location in the old town, clean, decent bed, presence of a kitchen. Host Valerie seemed responsive and checked with me during my stay to see if I wanted fresh towels and trash pick-up, as I was staying longer than a week.

Shower water temperature fluctuated wildly -- it was often too cold and sometimes too hot; no wardrobe or dresser to store clothing during stay (though there was a small sort of rack to hang some clothes); noisy neighbours in building during night-time hours (even quite late), kitchen was not well equipped -- no bowls, very few cooking utensils and pots.

The apartment was ideally located. We really enjoyed staying there, and the neighborhood. The apartment was clean, comfortable and our host Valerie was available and very helpful. If we come back to Bern we would stay there again!

Very comfortable stay in the heart of Bern. In the center of all the going out. Which was wonderful. But also quite noisy. We closed the windows for the night so we could sleep quietly . The apartment had everything we needed. Plus laundry in the basement

Not a good experience

Close to Railway Station

Extremely noisy at night from restaurants and early morning from delivery/rubbish trucks. Could not open the window. No seating other than a couple of dining chairs. Apartment was not clean, smelly towels and sheets, leftover food from previous guests in dirty fridge. Was not allowed to check in until exactly four pm. Stressed cleaner was abusive but Valerie assured me she would address this issue with the cleaner so it hopefully will not happen again

I liked that this was so close to everything I wanted to see, that I was able to walk there. Also, happy that it came equipped with espresso pods and cream!

There were many lovely, thoughtful extra touches, such as nice tea, earplugs and toothpaste. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was really comfortable. The location was perfect.

It was quite warm when we stayed so the aircon would have been excellent, but the host did add a fan and humidifier only they were a little noisy.

Comfortable, convenient & full of pleasant surprises.

This was the perfect stay in Bern. The location was ideal, the apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was also the bonus of several thoughtful amenities like a universal power plug, a welcome Swiss chocolate, coffee and basic toiletries. Every detail was well thought out from the instructions to use the washing machine to recommendations on places to visit in Bern. I would highly recommend the Heart of Bern!

Perfectly situated property with gorgeous wine bars on the road in front of the apartment.

The host, Valerie, created an excellent little video describing how the lock box worked and how to get into the building g and apartment. It was really helpful as I’ve spent ages at some properties just looking for the box!! Also, her communication was prompt and really helpful, and she had thought of everything in the apartment itself.

It was a little hard to sleep at night due to outside noise (but to be expected given restaurants below). Bathroom is a little tight but nicely appointed.

Excellent location, super central and easy to access by public transport from the train station. The flat has everything one can need, was extremely clean and the key collection process is very easy. The Swiss chocolates upon arrival were a very nice welcoming touch :). The host Valerie, is super responsive and helpful. I would recommend this apartment to anyone!

the apartment was nothing like the picture. The photo must have been taken a long time ago and in soft focus. It was cramped and slightly grubby.

Bern was delightful, the apartment before darkness fell was fine but then descended into a nightmare

Bern was delightful, apartment correct. Arriving and leaving were trouble free and easy.

The noise from the street was intolerable and made sleeping impossible. On both nights of our stay there were what seemed like ad hoc street parties taking place till after 3 am with whooping, shouting, loud tuneless singing and badly played musical instruments, not that well played ones would have been much of an improvement. The first night we lay awake hoping the noise would soon end. it didn't. The next night we realized the noise would go on for many hours so we watched TV till 3.30 am in an attempt to stop ourselves going crazy. We toyed with the idea of looking for a hotel but at between 2 and 3 in the morning dismissed this as unrealistic. Unless your visit to Bern is for the purpose of partying till 3.30 am every night I would advise anyone visiting to avoid using this apartment, or anywhere else in the street.

It was pretty loud during the nights - earplugs are a must even when windows closed. Fan in bathroom and kitchen don't work. Not the hosts fault but the washing machine was broken.
