Yehadoye Guesthouse

I'm a single, retired, female traveler. I felt very safe here. Lovely guesthouse with well equipped kitchen, working space, rooftop (for Morning yoga), clothes washer and dryer (plus laundry soaps and clotheslines for delicates) -- and in a quiet area full of restaurants and things to do. You are within walking distance to so many sites to see. I will use this stay again!

Need access to larger bath towels. The towels stocked for use on the floor are more hand size towels. A lamp next to the bed would be nice. The only lighting is overhead lighting.

Great homestay it felt comfortable coming back after a long day to be able to relax in the living room. Fridge and basic cooking facilities provided. Upstairs they had washing machine and dryer available. I wish we could use it any time of the day. We can only use it after 4pm, at which time we were always out. The staff were friendly and answered all questions. It's located in the middle of the Insadong shopping street so lots of people around. While aimed at tourists, you can conveniently walk outside the guesthouse and grab food.

We were on the 4th floor. I didn't enjoy carrying my bags and myself up 4 flights of stairs. Keep in mind when booking for elderly or people with mobility issues. There is a toilet bath on each floor. At night it was inconvenient to walk all the way to the toilet. We were unfortunate with messy guests. The waste bin where used toilet paper was put was very unhygienic. There must be a different way around it. I don't want to be dealing with all other guests fecal bacteria every time I use the toilet. It would be great if larger towels were provided especially for ladies with long hair.

Location was excellent. Walking distance to tourist attractions and lots of good bars and restaurants.

Lack of a lift. Didn't bother me because I travel with a small backpack but hard if you have big suitcases.

The guesthouse is great. Location is amazing and the actual house was clean and orderly. Plus free laundry. There is a store downstairs and a lady that works with Mr Cho was very kind and eager to help you. They store your luggage if you arrive early or leave late.

So my main complaint was the mosquitoes, otherwise I’d have given it a 10. But also Mr. Cho was very nice and polite but not super communicative. While in Seoul this is the only hostel that didn’t reply to me via the app, in Korean or English, I received no check-in or check-out instructions, no house rules other than verbal notes from Mr. Cho. This was a little hard because I was told I needed to leave promptly at 11 but no one was there to do the checkout.
