Basic but wonderfully pleasant stay

The close location to the tram is ideal. It has all you need for a basic stay. All I wanted was a bed to sleep in and it was perfect for that!

No negatives per se. Very basic - one pillow, one duvet and a bed kinda thing but I had no issues with that. It's definitely not a fancy place but absolutely does the job for a stay for a night or 2!

Christof & Michelle were wonderful.

It was incredibly noisy as it was located directly next to a roundabout. Our room was on the first floor and very warm when we arrived in the afternoon and into the evening. There was no AC nor a fan. We had to decide between a room that was too warm or even noisier with windows open. The nearby church bells rang every 15 minutes for 24 hours.

Especially interesting for people knowing the area. It is not central but very well connected by public transport and a lot cheaper than hotels in the city centre. it is not part of one of the big chains and feels more personal.

Hotel seems to be deserted on Wednesdays (no staff at all, not even possible to speak to reception on the phone). Mystery noise outside all night, like a creaking, banging gate. No idea what it was

everything was clean! an personnel was very friendly!

Friendly staff

Very noisy room, windows at the roundabout, you have a feeling on sleeping on the street, the cars and motorcycles are passing non stop, too hot to keep the window closed, mosquitos, the hotel is 2 steps away from fountain and you hear it too, you also hear the planes as the hotel is close to the airport and the fly very near, super stinky, disgusting water in the shower

Recommended without hesitation

The location was ideal for our purposes. We especially enjoyed our room with a balcony. The breakfast is very good, the coffee from the big machine is excellent. The personnel is very charming and attentive. Terrace restaurant was thoroughly enjoyable and to be recommended. We would certainly choose the Rössli again.

The mattresses are rock hard, and I‘m really not a fussy sleeper. Room was very hot in the afternoon/evening, but then a fan was provided on the hottest days, which was greatly appreciated.
