Fabulous, warm, well equipped modern house within easy walk to city centre.

Modern house in easy walking distance to the city centre. The underfloor heating made it cosy and warm - essential given we visited on a wet weekend in January. Beds were beautifully comfortable with good quality sheets. Plenty of towels provided. Kitchen well equipped - tho as big tea and coffee drinkers, we would have liked some more mugs. Hosts were very efficient with responding, helpful and friendly, and offered us the option to check in early and check out late without us asking.

Just a personal choice, we know theyre popular with others, but be aware the en-suite in the main bedroom is a wet room, which leaves the whole area and everything in it wet after showering. Also, be aware that because of the unique design of the building, both bathrooms are on the middle floor, those sleeping in the room on the top top floor need to use a spiral staircase (wide, with a sturdy handrail) but tricky in the middle of the night.

South House was fabulous, perfectly located and had everything you could wish for. Really couldn’t fault it.

Only parking for one car. On street parking for an additional car was arranged. Although it was made clear that on street parking permit in Zone D was available for second car, wasn’t clear where Zone D was. Arrived in the dark, parked in the street opposite the house but got a parking ticket as it wasn’t Zone D. Maybe add in notes in house the street names which are in Zone D to help clarify.

Fabulous stay in a fabulous house.

The house is in a fantastic location, has everything you could possibly need and was so clean and comfortable. We are a group of friends that have weekends away at least twice a year. This is one of the best stays we've had.

Lovely stay in Winchester to attend a family wedding nearby. The house was perfectly placed for this

Fantastic central location to explore Winchester and local area. 5 to 10 minute walk to stores and High Street. Parking outside for 1 vehicle and Irina sorted out a parking permit for our other car for out on the nearby roads which was perfectly safe and extremely close by with plenty of spaces. Everything was as it said it would be but it exceeded our expectations. All 5 of us found it spacious and comfortable. The two bathrooms and additional toilet downstairs made it very easy for 5 ageing adults all to get ready on time so no complaints at all. Irina was easy to contact and replied to all our enquiries very promptly before we arrived so making the whole booking process extremely easy.

comfortable modern stay

The house was much bigger than i initially expected with 3 toilets and a large living area. Given the size, it was very warm as well. There were nice touches throughout (e.g. luggage racks in each bedroom, ample towel hanging space, well stocked kitchen, coat racks by the door etc). The hosts apparently travel a lot and understand needs.

very little to complain about; there was some traffic noise in the morning but that is just being picky :-)

Perfect location & house to explore Winchester.

Was in an excellent location, and was perfect for our trip for a family wedding.

Being very picky the only negative I could give was that the outside area needed a bit of a clean. The outside chairs and table s but grubby. Only noticed cos we had beautiful weather.

The location was perfect as it was only a short 5-10 minute walk into town. The kitchen and lounge were spacious.

We didn't like the spiral staircase, and the en-suite bathroom was a wet room, which made it slippery.

Great location , spacious & well equipped. Felt very homely. Was great that you didn’t have to worry about driving , easy walking distance into town etc. Hosts also supply a parking permit for side streets.

Tight parking space , but it wasn’t a problem for us , if you have a big car you may struggle.

Lovely, well equipped, centrally located house.

An unusual, stylish, beautiful house, centrally located and well equipped. Quiet at night. Super kitchen. It’s great that you can regulate the heating.

If you are on the top floor you must come down a spiral staircase if you need the toilet in the night. There is only a handrail on the right side coming down, so if you are carrying something and are right handed, it’s a bit scary. Not suitable for elderly people. I personally find glass tables scary too. I can’t see them and am afraid of breaking them!

Would definitely go again-comfortable and convenient.

The house is very convenient and comfortable. Five minute walk from the station plus parking for two cars. Small area to sit on the terrace. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. Would go again .Hosts very helpful.

In the shower and bath it would be handy to have a grab rail or two. The house is set back from a busy road so there is noise from the road if you open a window but there are air con units . You are not on the road itself as it is a turning off.

Great apartment in a super location - had a lovely stay in Winchester.

Location was great - very short walk to centre of town. Good facilities - kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and appliances. Good, clear instructions left for everything. Hosts popped round on first evening to say hello.

The off-road parking space was largely unusable as it was very tight and impossible to park alongside the other car. However, the permit provided for street parking was very useful and we were able to park on the street a few minutes walk away from the apartment. The TVs only seemed to provide 2 channels and the signal broke up frequently - couldn't find any instructions about the televisions.

Spotlessly clean. All facilities you could need for a short break and longer. Excellent instructions pre visit and for the house when we arrived. Steve even called round to make sure everything was ok for us which was very impressive.

Lovely short break

Location and standard of the accommodation . Owners were very welcoming and one had the impression that nothing would be too much of a problem . We liked it so much we have booked to return later in the year

Parking was tricky at times but you do have the option of using the carpark next to the property as you have access to a parking permit which for larger cars i would recommend . (It's certainly a very good idea )

A really excellent find! South House is a stylish and comfortable place to stay with fabulous facilities. We loved being so close to the city centre, just 5 minutes walk and the parking was a great bonus.
