Gorgeous lodge, spotlessly, clean and in a beautiful setting. Warm and cosy, with everything we needed.
Only minor irritation was a knocking sound in the heating when the radiators came on. Didn’t detract from our enjoyment though

The lodge was so comfortable, clean and packed with complimentary snacks and treats, hot tub was so nice, ready to used, serviced daily.
The area was so quiet and relaxing, the coffee bar for the golf club was lovely for a morning coffee.

The location, layout and cleanliness were first rate! It was in a beautiful quiet setting, the lodge had everything needed for a short break, good appliances and very comfortable beds.
It was a challenge to put things in either bathroom - definite lack of shelving or bathroom cupboard. This by no means spoilt our holiday, it is just an observation!

Beautiful green, quiet location . Very close to supermarket and only a short drive to centre of Winchester, but felt like we were right out in the country. Good location for getting out to the wider area too. The lodge was very comfortable, spacious and light with excellent facilities. I phoned up about a slight problem (which was my fault it turned out!) and found staff very friendly and helpful and dealt with the situation very promptly and efficiently.
One problem - I could have done with a curtain or something around the bath for showering. I accidentally sprayed a lot of water around, didn’t realise what I had done and thought there was a plumbing leak. After that I stuck to sitting in the bath to shower. There is a walk in shower in the other bathroom though.

The lodge was located by South Winchester golf course with easy access to a small putting green which was cute and used by the whole family. We ordered takeaway one evening and the delivery guy found us easily which surprised us. The beds were super comfy and luxurious as were the toiletries. The welcome basket on arrival was a nice touch with items for movie night snacks, hot drinks and fresh milk in the fridge! There were also helpful items such as dishwasher tablets and washing up items. The hotel is not far from Winchester City and we ventured in there until our room was ready and they called us to say it was ready early for us to occupy. It is also nicely located to pay a visit to the many trails and walks in the New Forest.
No access to a hot tub - we were one of two lodges (I believe) without one and it would have been a nice end to our day to help wind down after sightseeing and also hiking in the New Forest.

Everything!
A more appropriate shaped table on the front veranda. We moved the circular table from the side/back to the front but it was a bit of a squash!

Location! The bar staff at the Clubhouse were great!! The putting green was excellent!!
Mosquito's and neither of the bathroom doors closed properly!! Neighbour's in Lodge 12 were very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. The rest of the site was quiet!

Lodges were lovely. Hot tub greats. Ideal to get a bus into Winchester.
We stayed in July but it wasn't during a heat wave. Temp approx 25C. Our lodge didn't have air conditioning and it was very hot especially in the evening. We slept with the windows opened but then got eaten alive by mosquito bites (10-12 bites a night).
I would come again but West Coast Scotland rules apply and would do April or October to avoid the beasties! Lol

The Lodge was beautiful and had all what we needed for our stay and more. All the rooms were good sizes and the master bedroom which had on suite was huge. The beds were so comfortable and the duvets felt luxurious. The kitchen and lounge area was spacious and had all what we needed for our stay. We chose the lodge with a hot tub and I am so glad we did. The outside area had a large table and chairs and the family spent most of our time outside. We were fortunate to have lovely weather during our stay but the very small downside was the lodge inside was very hot but that was to be expected with the weather we had. Each room came with a fan so that helped.
There was a little putting green on site and the whole family enjoyed playing on it.
I booked two lodges and requested they were next to each other, which they were. When we arrived one lodge had a card and balloons wishing my mum a happy 70th Birthday which I mentioned when requesting the lodges being next to each other. It was a lovely surprise and very thoughtful.
We stayed for 2 nights but I wish I booked a bit longer as all the family, from the youngest to eldest, plus a dog, had the most relaxing and enjoyable family time.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

Hot tub covered had a canopy and not so overlooked.
Really thoughtful having a welcome pack.
Some of the plates and glasses still had dry food stuck to them and had to clean them .

Lodge was very roomy, clean and comfortable although my mattress was somewhat soft and lumpy. Good assortment of kitchen appliances and equipment for self catering, pretty much all you need. Welcome pack was great and very handy. WiFi and smart TV was great. Golf available if wanted, 5 min drive to city centre, putting green next to lodges, all very convenient.
At first glance lodges look great but when you occupy one is when you start to notice. Lodges were sound, dry, secure and comfortable but are showing their age and need some tlc. The decking needs some boards fastening down where they are lifting, some boards sink, not much at the moment but could soon become a hazard. The outside table didn't sit flat so cups of tea caused a flood. The table didn't just rock a little it nearly rolled. Salt and pepper grinders, one works one doesn't. The internal doors some close OK some don't, front door very hard to lock. The mattress was kind of weird, soft but lumpy, hollow but sloping, not badly but... The sorts of thing you don't notice until you occupy the place for a couple of days. There's really not a lot wrong, certainly nothing that would deter me from returning. It's niggling little things that will get worse if not addressed and things that tend not to be noticed during cleaning or a general inspection.

Such a fabulous stay. Wish we had booked longer. We stayed in a 3 bed lodge with hot tub (family of four - two teenagers, plus grandma). So much space in the living area, bedrooms all a decent size and two bathrooms. Hot tub was really hot and maintained by staff daily. Had extra fridge freezer and washing machine for those staying longer. Little putting green in the centre was an added bonus. Great location for Winchester and New Forest. Late check out also a great option on a Sunday.
Nothing really. I think our cabin had a better finish than my brother in law who was in a two bed lodge for guests with dogs. This is possibly to be expected when you have less people and a pet (smaller hot tub, leather sofas rather than fabric….)
