City Centre 4 Bedroom House

It is a charming older property but beautifully clean and nicely decorated. It is also deceptively large. I was in a party of four and it was perfect for our needs, with each of us having our own room. The property has a lovely atmosphere and since we were visiting the Winchester Christmas markets, we were happy that the heating system was extremely efficient, keeping us cosy in a matter of minutes. The kitchen is well equipped and our host, absolutely delightful. Very well located and whilst you can't unload on the road, there's a car park accessed via Gordon Road, where you can park directly opposite.

The property was in a very good location and catered perfectly for a large group. Facilities were clean and to a good standard. Check in and check out was easy and the owner responded very quickly to questions and sent us all the relevant information.

There was nowhere to park on arrival when arriving later in the evening as in a residential area but luckily there is a car park opposite the house.

The location was superb and the staff were really helpful. We were able to check in slightly earlier and extend our parking permit.

The sofa was a little uncomfortable.

Location was excellent, beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a short break.

The sofas were not comfortable and the house needs some repairs.

The location of this property was perfect. It's just a 5-10min walk to the centre of Winchester. The kitchen seemed new, and it was well equipped. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the host was very responsive. She also arranged a parking permit at the last minute without fuss.

The house has the feel of student accommodation. The paintwork is rather scruffy, and some of the furniture is cheap and flimsy. The sofa in the living room is very uncomfortable and badly needs replacing. A bannister post on the top floor is broken and held together with tape, which has been painted over!! . There is a large dried damp stain on the kitchen ceiling, and while we were there, there was a leak. This is clearly an ongoing problem from the bathroom above, which has not been sorted. The fridge light flickers, and I have read another review concerning this, but again, it hasn't been addressed. There are also cleaning materials left in full view of the dining area, which, in my opinion, is just untidy and lazy. It needs money spent on it, and some attention to interior design to make it more pleasant. It could be a really lovely house with a bit of TLC, but at the moment, it feels neglected.

Great location, 5 min walk to city centre. Good communication with owner. Clean and comfy beds. Good value for money

Dead house plants need removing in bathroom, sofa in living room was unconformable. House generally a little tired, but new kitchen was nice.
