This is a very old hotel ( really taking the; 'royal mail'in the 1600 and 1700 and 1800's.)Very near the ARCH in Chepstow town centre. So near Marks and Spencers Food and the BUS STATION. The famous castle, museum and tourist information centre are a 10 minute walk down the hill by the river wye. In this heat the electric fan was a good addition. Very comfortable pillows and cushons to supplement the comfortable soft bed.Staff especially Kade, Kate and Ryan very helpful. All helped me by carrying bags. All friendly
Naturally being an ancient building the bedrooms were on different levels. On the ground floor there were very clean toilets, My room was not ' en suite' but it was not expected. The problem was the one bathroom with about 6 bedrooms. Assuming no rooms were ensuite ,the one bathroom was not enough. There did not seem to be any thought to have more than one toilet roll available overnight. By 2.30 in the morning one piece of toilet paper left. Toilet roll replaced at 04.00am but almost used by 9.00am.
