Loved our stay here in Coimbra. The location was perfect. The apartment was very welcoming. We were on the second floor so we didn’t have the views like the other apartment, but we had 5 people not 4. The host is an expert in hospitality. Having a washer was a godsend. Has two full bathrooms. The bathrooms were great bc they were not pedestal sinks and we finally had room for our toiletries. AC was nice and cold. Everything was very clean. Yes there was some very minor mold on tiles, but being from highly humid Florida I understand. I loved the provided slippers, welcome wine and chips/crisps. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The location is amazing, easy to find, not hard to walk from public parking or transit. Coimbra was our favorite city we visited in Portugal

The grout needs to be de molded.

The apartment is well located and is spacious. We received a welcome gift and received ongoing communication from the hosts. It is highly recommended. The stay was enjoyable.

We were prevented from entering the premises, until KYC requirements were completed. This in and of itself is not an issue, however the KYC requirements and the manner in which it needed to be provided were only shared when we requested access. Consequently, we had to wait outside the premises in 35+ Celsius conditions.

This is a large apartment, well-appointed, and in excellent condition. Lots of room, comfortable bed and furniture, complete kitchen, nice bathroom. It is located in the heart of the old section of the city within easy walking distance of the university, cathedral and other sites. Many great restaurants nearby.

This is advertised as a “hotel.” False! Hotels have staff. This is essentially an Airbnb. Let yourself in with door codes. Call the owner with questions or issues. It’s located in a pedestrian zone. We were provided info on parking options outside this zone, with “easy walking access.” Actually, the walk from the lot was an arduous uphill climb on narrow, cobbled streets. It would have been an exhausting trip towing our carry-on sized luggage. We took a taxi to get close. The driver had great difficulty finding a nearby drop off location. He had to ask for help twice. We were now a 5-minute walk from the building. We had to ask multiple times for help finding this “very discreet” location. Store owners within a few hundred yards had no idea where this place is. There’s a 10” x 5” sign next to the door. It was a stressful and frustrating experience finding this place. The listed wi-fi info was incorrect. After multiple attempts, the owner answered her phone. I ended up in a combative phone conversation in which the owner would not let me get a word in edgewise. The owner seems to have a massive chip on her shoulder when dealing with guests. Very unpleasant start to our stay. I would recommend she provide an address nearby for taxi drivers.
