Amazing Facilities and Spa Experience, but Mattress Could Be Better

The breakfast was amazing. The service from the staff was 10/10. The facilities were really good, and the restaurant as well. The agreement between Köhlerei and the group for the spa day was excellent — everything was very well organized and it was an amazing benefit, even though there were no available slots for a massage.

The bed mattress was too uncomfortable and too deep.

A great quality location to explore the black forest from

Great Tranquille place to stay just in front of the lake. Food and breakfast on the terrace is so peaceful. Great location to explore the Black forest by car or by foot. Restaurant food is of great level....Bravo Chef!

This is a lovely property right on the lake. The staff were very friendly & helpful & the food in the restaurant was excellent. Parking on site was good. The property is remote so be prepared to park up & enjoy the hospitality.

enlightening hotel in the Black Forest

Beautiful location, easy access, welcoming staff. Though not a gastronomic adventure very palatable cuisine though extreme use of salt that seems to be the standard in Germanic cookery. Just crossing the street allows for ski dipping/swimming in a wonderful lake.

A lovely place in the mountains

Great location ! Close to the ski resort, the lakes and loads of hiking paths. The bedroom was excellent, recently refurbished, good choice of decorations, practical and a good size. Bedding was comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet and was excellent with a nice variety of choice. The restaurant's food was spot on and we really enjoyed our meal.

Shared balcony meaning that we had to close our curtains all the time in case of a neighbor seeing through our window. And there was a random pipe left on the balcony which spoilt the idea of having a balcony. Sometimes communication was a little difficult as the staff don't all speak much English.

Wir kommen gerne noch einmal bei schönem Wetter

Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Lage direkt am See ist wunderschön und sorgt für eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Unser Zimmer war angenehm groß, ruhig gelegen und das Personal durchweg freundlich sowie hilfsbereit. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir, dass auf persönliche Wünsche – wie weichere Kissen oder eine weichere Matratze – unkompliziert eingegangen wurde. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ein Highlight: sehr lecker und mit ausreichend Auswahl.

Ein paar Punkte könnten den Aufenthalt jedoch noch verbessern: Das Haus ist etwas hellhörig – Geräusche von oben waren deutlich wahrnehmbar und hinderten uns am frühen Schlaf. Das Badezimmer ist eher klein geraten. Schön wären zusätzlich leichte, durchsichtige Vorhänge, damit man tagsüber Privatsphäre hat, ohne komplett abdunkeln zu müssen. In unserem Zimmer funktionierten die Standard-TV-Programme leider nicht – gerade an einem verregneten Tag etwas schade. Außerdem wären an den Ruhetagen des Restaurants ein paar Gläser oder etwas Besteck im Zimmer praktisch, falls man sich selbst etwas mitbringt. Wir haben dies aber von einer netten Person des Personals erhalten auf Nachfrage.

Tolle Auszeit vor der Geburt unseres ersten Kindes

Die sehr idyllische Lage. Der morgendliche Blick über den kleinen See und den Wald waren Entspannung pur. Super war auch, dass wir im benachbarten Hotel Schlehdorn vergünstigt einen Tag im Day Spa verbringen konnten.

Eine schöne Familienfeier gehabt zu dem ein aufmerksames freundliches Personal beigetragen haben.

Hotel liegt sehr idylisch am See umgeben von Wald mit sehr schönen Spazier- und Wanderwegen. Ausgewogenes gutes reichhaltiges Frühstück. Täglicher sehr ordentlich guter Zimmerservice.

Ein Schreibtisch im Zimmer. Zimmer und Bad ansonsten zweckmäßig ausreichend ausgestattet.

Wunderschönes Hotel im Schwarzwald

Sehr schöne Lage, guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber und gepflegt. Urlaub mit unserem Hund war kein Problem. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und frisch zubereitet, das Abendessen sehr gut, wenn auch etwas hochpreisig - die Qualität und Menge waren dann aber entsprechend. Der Service war immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Toller Aufenthalt!

Die Köhlerei am See hat uns super gut gefallen und mit viel Charme, schöner Atmosphäre und sehr freundlichem Personal überzeugt. Auch als der Transfer zurück zum Bahnhof nicht geklappt hat wurden wir von einer netten Mitarbeiterin persönlich zurück gefahren. Die Zimmer sind sauber, hell und gut ausgestattet. Das inklusive Frühstück lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Wer mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln anreist kann auf Anfrage vom Bahnhof abgeholt werden. Ansonsten führt ein charmanter Waldweg 1,9km vom Weiher zum Bahnhof. Der Weg ist zu Fuß in 15-20 Minuten zu stämmen und bieter im Sommer eine Abkühlung von der Sonne. Auch der Weiher direkt am Hotel lädt mit vielen Zentralen und gut zugänglichen Plätzen zum baden und genießen ein. Die Züge fahren stündlich zu beliebten Ausflugszielen. Es war sehr schön.
