Full of character. Old, atmospheric & we heard the ghost rapping. Delightful. Food was good too!
The bar shuts at 10, but I get it, as an out of town bar, it probably doesn't get much trade later on.

Great location with parking and very quiet. Perfectly adequate room. Short walk to the Piece Hall. Lovely friendly lady who showed us to our room.
Breakfast would have been nice!

Very quirky old inn.
The landlady was super friendly.
Value for money food menu (sadly no breakfast).
15 min walk to Piece Hall / townl so great location for us.
It was awkward to move about the room due to the odd shape / placing of furniture but I'm not sure it could be improved at all.
The shelf beneath the TV was hanging off the wall probably because someone knocked into it in the middle of the night, it's definitely an obstacle!
Also the water pressure/ temperature fluctuated madly when other guests used water at the same time so my husband had a sudden cold blast followed by a very hot douse when he showered!

The pub was a great location for gigs at Piece Hall. The staff were really friendly and accommodating.
The room was small and decor tired. It could do with an update to the decor and bathroom. The room itself was very clean.
