Vilma was welcoming, friendly and helpful with great local recommendations. The accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped. Ginetta is situated in a quiet, attractive village. It is a short drive to Lake Orta and a short walk to a couple of bars, a fabulous Agroturism farm with restaurant and the church with magnificent views of the Lake.

The drive up to the village is not for the faint hearted (especially in the dark!). The apartment has one portable air conditioning unit in the bedroom so it was very warm in hot weather.

The hosts were exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They were communicative and responsive with positive energy, making our stay that much more enjoyable. They even came to assist us with parking our car in the free car park nearby when we arrived, and we were welcomed by a warm fireplace and a thoughtful gift of sweets. The apartment was spotless, cozy and very well-equipped with excellent attention to detail and style. WiFi connection was excellent. There is a friendly little café within walking distance that was a lovely place to stop and enjoy nature, the amazing panorama and local history. Visitors should also be aware that having a small car or motorbike is highly recommended for reaching the property, going shopping, and exploring the surrounding area, particularly if steep roads and hills are challenging for them. As is typical of historic hillside villages, some of the streets are quite narrow, making a smaller vehicle easier to manage. The beautiful cobbled streets can be slippery when wet, so suitable footwear is advisable.

Personally, I would have preferred a firmer mattress. The wooden floor was stunning but somewhat squeaky. The staircase (second floor) may not suit all abilities. Visitors relying on public transport may find it quite difficult to reach the property.
