Aucklands Hidden Retreat

Stunning location. Very quiet. Private. Perfect place to relax. Lovely deck to sit outside. We were able to have our dogs onsite. Friendly owner who greeted us. Shower good. Beds comfy.

Shelf above a very small bathroom sink made brushing teeth a bit difficult. Rubbish bin really small and was overflowing even though we were away much of the time. An outside rubbish bin would be useful. A light above kitchen sink could be added, it's quite dark in that area.

2 nights bliss

Location across the road from a wedding venue we are attending. Perfect for us. Carolyn greeted us on arrival and then left us to it which we appreciated. She helped us with an extra bed and cot in our room - thank you for this. Very lovely location, quiet and tranquil setting.

The location was lovely a great way to end our time in New Zealand in a rural location close to airport and with wonderful views. Was great to wake up in the morning and be above the clouds of fog.

Only down side was the size of the bathroom area was too small. To be specific shower was fine, but to dry yourself and brush your teeth the area is not practical had to open the door to the living area.

Marvellous quiet, beautiful retreat from the Auckland Cities.

I loved that it is tucked away in the Clevedon countryside, just birdsong, lovely views, quietness, far removed from the bustle of Aucklans many cities. Carolyn is an excellent host/owner who helped with planning of seeing the sights of Auckland and what was around Clevedon itsef and suggestions on drives, parks, food provisions and eateries. Carolyn had put together an informative guest manual on the above so it was great sitting down and doing some reading on everything. I stayed for a week and was able to use the washing machine which helped me enormously during my stay, thank you so much and im sure I'll visit again and use your fantastic facilities. Thank you so much Carolyn. A friend came to visit to pick me up on the NZ Garden and House magazìne tour for Clevedon and was astounded at how lovely the facilities are and will bring her mum up from Hamilton to stay at some point in the future.

Lovely view and quiet

I love the view in the morning, being out of the rat race of auckland but close enough to get to the motorways to see the sights. Carolyn is a marvellous host, the cottages quiet, warm and lovely.

Spacious cabin in a quiet location

Such a wonderful host. Beautiful little cabin in a quiet rural environment yet still close enough to town. Cabin has a lovely deck perfect for watching sunrises in the morning and the city lights at night.

Just the place i was looking for 😍 I loved that it was quite, peaceful, beautiful views. A place were you can really unwind an relax. value for money 👍. Absolutely beautiful location. Our host was very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation was well appointed and comfortable and certainly one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed in. We highly recommend Auckland County Cottages

Great place to stay. Cottage well apportioned with lots of cutlery, glasses, plates etc. Very quiet with great views over the valley. Appreciated the freshly baked cake (was still warm) on arrival. Lovely hosts.

Comfort, clean, waking up to birdsong in the bush. Perfect!

We loved everything. The quietness, surrounded by bush, birds singing. Plenty of room to safely run our dogs and grass nicely mown so picking up after our dogs was very easy. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We really appreciate the abundance of pillows on the beds. My sister and I both have bad backs so the extra pillows and the very comfy beds were a godsend! The shower was The Best! We will be very happy to stay in Tui Cottage every time we have Dog Scentwork Trials in Auckland. Ten Stars! We loved our stay.

I cannot think of even one thing I'd change! Truly as close to perfect as we could imagine.

Nur mit dem winzigen Waschbecken im Bad war es schwierig gewesen die Zähne zu putzen.
