very very cool

really good location. it's really nice to sit outside, very cozy. nice concept, not like most hostels; which makes it better in my opinion. the bedrooms are cute and excellent for the price. the beds are comfortable and the amenities were fulfilled. all in all - big recommendation for those who like staying in hostels. the staff is amazing, they're excellent hosts, very grateful for how welcoming they were.

shared bathrooms and washrooms could be invested in, i have to be honest. other than that - wouldn't change a thing.

Pleasant stay and wonderful people 😁

The place is very good and comfortable. We went me and a group of friends to spend the weekend and we had no problem. In addition, the receptionists and owner are very nice and helped us with transportation and provided us with a guide to things to visit.

The apartment was not in the best condition but there was nothing dangerous and for the price it is fine. It is possible that the noises from outside may be annoying for sleeping.

Hostel was great and I was able to communicate with the owner via whatsapp. The staff working in the hostel are courteous and helpful. Location is great, walking distance to main square and the bohemian area of Skopje full of restaurants and bars

May be a good choice to spend a night in Skopje

friendly staff, easy check-in. located near the city center, easy to find. kitchen was free to use but there was only Turkish coffee and tea.

pillows were terrible. they were as thin as the sheets. and wifi was terrible, no good connection. sheets and blankets were not enough so we had to keep the air conditioner on all night. hair dryer wasn't working, air conditioner was working very loudly.

I recommend visiting the hostel. The owner, Goran, is very helpful and friendly. From the very beginning, he provides recommendations about the city, tours, and restaurants. The hostel is clean and pleasant, every room is air-conditioned, and each apartment has a common room. The location is great, and the staff is friendly.

It was comfy, and budget friendly,

The Location, its inky 11-13 mins walk from the centre, and a nearby neighborhood has a lot of restaurants and the veranda where I can relax is nice to chill at. The bed is so comfy. And instructions are clear on how to get i. even I arrive in morning around 4am

I wish the remote for the aircon is near the door and the plugs are beside the bed. Its easier to charge that way. And just a suggestion, I wish there are dim lights in the hallway incase we arrive late and its really dark. Had a hard time finding my key. And I arrive, wish I was allowed to rest a little longer rather than being disturbed to pay, I was not planning to skip it. I was just tired

Hostel 42 is perfect to stay in while in Skopje. Very good location, super welcoming and friendly personnel. The owner is very communicative, answers almost immediately and attentive to your requests. I definitely recommend Hostel 42 in Skopje.

Great location, pleasant hostel

Great location for river, old town and new town. Goran the owner is very friendly and helpful. Rooms and hostel very clean and with air con/heat. Nice outdoor shared patio to sit. Good value for money.

Had a nice upper room but on noisy main road and a darker lower room near reception, which was noisy and WiFi was not very good. One shared Wash basin leaked onto floor.

Great location and fabulous staff

Staff was absolutely fabulous and very helpful. The location is great and easy to get everywhere.

The mattress was not very comfy, and the room was on the cooler side. There is an air con for temperature control, but I got in late and wasn't able to work it out. Perhaps it is worth asking for staff to show you how it works.

Goran was so helpful. We checked in early. 8 min to walk old town and also very close to new Skopje excellent location. Very clean, AC is working well. Next time definitely will come again to Hostel 42.

Affordable stay near the center!

Walking distance to all of the city highlights, very friendly, helpful staff. Goran the owner helped address any issue we had, and when the tax we'd ordered wasn't big enough he saved the day.

Location!

Lack of necessary maintenance! A leaving toilet could easily be fixed, and the same goes for the net keeping mosquitos out of the room. Seems like a lack of care. Also a security / safety risk that strangers can walk unhindered from the street to ‘my door’. Unlocked entrance doors 24/7.

Wifi was very excellent. David is very helpful person. Sonya is excellent and cheerful person. I like her too much. We talked about everything. The location was very good. The room was very clean. The towels smell good. The staff(I don't know her name) gave me her own coffee in the morning. Thank you for everything Hostel 42 family.

Taxi prices was little bit high. But it isn't related with hotel. Maybe the room will be more comfortable.
