An excellent ski week in Zermatt, our host Johannes was friendly and helpful. close to lift (1000 ft

The location for skiing was great for myself and my 2 kids, about 1000 ft (300 yds/meters) to the gondola, it’s not ski in/ski out, but it is not advertised that way and there are very few lodging options like that in Zermatt, everyone walks or takes the free bus to the lift. It splits the distance between lift access, and walking to the main part of town for shopping, groceries and restaurants. the kitchen is perfectly equipped- no microwave, which is not unusual in guest apartments in Europe. Our 2 br apt was very spacious by our prior European experiences. There is a nice steam room and dry sauna, and a pay hot tub (5 francs for -15 minutes, a pair of tubs for one that drains and fills for each user) Hours are 5 pm- 8 pm in winter, it is indoors. Our room had a partial Matterhorn view (the top half), not disappointed as this room was not advertised as a Matterhorn view. (They have another adjoining building with more hotel style rooms with direct Matterhorn views). We saw the Matterhorn everyday all day as we skid all around it!. Spotlessly clean room. One bedroom with nice view from the window down in to town on the church. Wrap around porch which would be well used in warm months. This apartment would be our first consideration for a warm weather stay as well. Our host and owner Johannes Biner (hope I spelled that right) was very friendly, helped with questions, and is the second generation family owner. His father I believe (or grandad?) commissioned the tunnel from the street to the elevator up to the building in 1972, a great story. no stairs! Overall would definitely stay here again with our highest recommendation.

Poor service, uncomfortable beds, but good location

Great location only steps away from the Furi lift which takes you to the Matterhorn. The rooms had everything you need with decent wifi and cooking supplies. We could see the Matterhorn from our room which was nice. We also appreciated being able to store our ski gear in their ski room.

The beds consist of cheap mattresses which I would say are worse than most hostels I’ve stayed at. Also the rooms are musty and are in need of some major updating. There is an odor that slaps you in the face every time you walk into the room. Lastly, I want to comment on the poor service. We had 11 family members staying in two rooms. The employee working the front desk only gave us 10 room keys. When I went back to ask for another he exclaimed that he gave me 11 keys and said, “You have an extra person you’re hiding from me.” I was taken aback because it felt like I was talking to the Gestapo in 1933 Germany. I reassured him we only have 11 people, and he said, “Well I will come by and check on your room while you’re gone to see how many people you have.” I told him he could come by whenever he wanted and then he seemed to back off a bit and he finally gave me an additional key. I’ve never experienced such nasty behavior from a front desk worker. So just as an FYI, count your card keys when you pick them up, and then don’t lose any of them because I can only imagine how difficult he would be if he had to reissue one.

One of the best Apartments to stay in Zermat One of the best Apartment to stay in Vermont Zermat

The apartment is about 200 m away from the gondola, about 10 minutes walk to the town center, where have lot of restaurants and stores. We can see the peak of Matterhorn from one of our bedrooms. They are washing machines and dryers in the public area. We enjoyed our ski trip in Eva Paradise apartment very much.

Good service, good location and value for money!

The staff were so kind and helpful, everything was super neat and well described. They responded very quick to our messages. Nice facilities and close to the gondola and ski rental. We were very pleased as a big group of 11 where it can be hard to find something affordable!!

Spectacular views of the Matterhorn! What more do you want?

The view of the Matterhorn from our apartment balcony was stunning. It was so amazing to wake up each morning and see the different moods of the Matterhorn. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the apartment from the train station. Check-in was easy with someone to meet us at reception. Cooking facilities were adequate and all that we required.

The room was small, with a pull-down bed, but we knew that prior to booking.

Great view of the Matterhorn from our room balcony. Comfortable room with adequate kitchen facilities. Near the cable car station to Matterhorn Paradise. Good value. A little bit of a walk - 15-20 minutes - from the train station, with a slight incline which can be taxing with luggage. But you can call for a taxi.

A little difficult to find. You need to go through a tunnel and look for the Check-in elevator towards the end (but not at the very end) of the tunnel. The sign says "Eva/Paradis" (not Apartments Zermatt Paradis).

Perfect place to enjoy Matterhorn!

The location is perfect. I could see Matterhorn from the balcony all day long. The hotel is in the hidden upper area, quiet with few buildings between the Matterhorn and me! There is a lift to go up to the reception floor and I didn't need to climb by myself. It is close to the ropeway station. There is no breakfast but I could order a local bakery delivery service.

A bit far away from Zermatt station if you are planning to use only the Gornergrat Bahn. The bed is narrow, but the room is good enough as like a mountain cottage.

Perfect stay in the most beautiful town.

Excellent apartment with fantastic room! The hotel is located 15 mins walk away from the train station, but it is only 2 mins away from the cable car station that takes you to most of the mountain stations. We stayed in a room on the first floor facing south, and the Matterhorn was directly visible from the terrace, which is all we could ask for a room in Zermatt. The room comes with two comfortable murphy bed, which could be folded into the wall for more space, but we never did because it was perfectly enough for two of us. The kitchen in the room is fully equipped with all you need for simple cooking, which is a life changer for stay in Zermatt. We ended up cooking every single meal in the kitchen, and having them in our terrace, while enjoying the magnificent view of Matterhorn. The host were very nice and helpful. We did our laundry with the shared washer and dryer in the lobby. The host even had the detergent prepared so no need to buy or bring ourselves. Will definitly rebook if I visit Zermatt once again.

Nice, clean, comfortable & well equipped kitchen. Ski-lift very close by.

Property is very well located for the Matterhorn express lift. Has a good ski room to store all your equipment. Each apartment had a well stocked kitchen should you wish to eat in some evenings or even for breakfast and there are a number of decent supermarkets in the town which aren't too expensive with a small supermarket just down the road which is also beside a nice bakery and ski rental shop. Rooms were clean and comfy and bathroom was decent. Very easy access to the main town and can easily walk to anywhere in the town from the apartments. Washing machine is not in your room but there is a dedicated washing area which the host was very helpful in showing me how to use both washer and dryer. In fact, host was very helpful overall. Apartment was the one highlight of the week. Felt a little disappointed with the ski area as a whole.

Lack of sockets in the rooms. Make sure to bring a multi-plug extension lead and all will be good.

Fantastical

Exceptional in almost every way. The property, itself, is well situated to the trails and the mountains. It is not in the center of the shops--which was also great but some might disagree. The access tunnel is unique and very very interesting as it was installed by the grandfather of the host. Never seen anything like it, but it made the walk very convenient. The morning bread is a nice option if you dont want to walk to the bakery yourself. It is not included in the price. The room is wonderful--esp the view of the Matterhorn if it isnt obscured by weather. The pillows and linens were fantastical. Looking forward to my return!

Fabulous stay, cozy and clean, and an incredible view!

We loved everything about our stay at Appartements Zermatt Paradies. While we weren't in one of the newly renovated suites, we appreciated the retro feel of our studio apartment. And really, the fresh mountain air and the view of the Matterhorn from the balcony were more than enough for a fabulous stay. The apartment is far enough from the hubbub of central Zermatt to allow real quiet and relaxation - but close enough for easy access. The kitchen was well supplied, the bathtub a rare luxury in hotel rooms these days. Staff were excellent and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Grocery stores are not super close, so by the time we dropped off lugagge and went back out for supplies, we'd burned more time than we would have liked. Nothing the owners can so about that, but something for future guests to consider when planning. Stop for groceries on the way there, if you can.

A great place to stay in a great location.

Excellent location less than 5 minute walk to the lifts. Ski storage room was great to have, loved the ski boot driers. Spa was nice. Nice clean rooms with full kitchens. Good amount of storage space for luggage/gear. Separate sinks in bedrooms are helpful for larger groups. Friendly, responsive, and helpful staff.

Laundry facilities could have had more machines, only 1 washer & dryer.
