Enough space for a family of 5 to spread out. We made several of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. The charm of the whole place was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Zermatt.
Would have loved if the fireplace had been functioning. Location is uphill! Taxi stops a little distance away because the road ends and the rest of the way is a dirt path. Heating was not on when we arrived. First night was chilly, but they were helpful in getting it turned on for the rest of our stay. The showers are bathtubs, but we knew that in advance because of the pictures.

It worked pretty well for five guys on a ski trip. Reasonably close to the the main chair lift and a decent layout.
The showers were extensions in the bath, so hand held which isn’t great. The decor was a bit tired in places.

Zermatt is een langgerekt dorp met veel hoogteverschillen. Er zijn twee skiliften. De Matterhorn Express brengt je het snelst naar Matterhorn Glacier Paradise op 3800 mtr en de verbinding met Italië. Deze accommodatie ligt in de buurt van deze lift. Deze ligging en de prijs geven het een uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding, ondanks dat het interieur wat oubollig overkomt. Op de strakke nieuwe keuken na.
Inrichting is deels wat aan de oubollige kant. En ook al is het dichtbij de lift, door de hoogteverschillen in het dorp is naar huis lopen nog best doorzetten. Skies achterlaten in een gehuurde locker bij de lift is aan te raden. En ieder voordeel heeft zijn nadeel, zei Johan Cruijff: dichtbij de lift betekent ver van het centrum van het dorp, ca. 25 minuten wandelen.
