Lovely clean comfy rooms with marina view

No staff present, bar and restaurant under construction, was very loud the night we stayed. There was a group of intoxicated people next door and we could hear absolutely everything.

Sold and advertised as a hotel and when I got there it was a run down damp, mouldy foul smelling air b & b , horrible experience, completely false advertising, this is not a hotel

Very good hotel

Breakfast was self-serve without any staff, and on our arrival to the breakfast serving area, most of the food was finished, and there was no one to top up the food. Mainly no bread. enough tea & coffee. If you had a CCTV camera on the food trays, you should have gotten an idea when to do the top-ups.

The bathroom shower area water drainage is very poor. I felt very disgusted when the dirty water rose up above the feet.

Fantastic Value On The Edge Of A Beautiful Village.

The hotel is self check in from 4pm with no one on reception. Guests receive an email shortly before the check in time with the codes for the front door and the key boxes. Instructions for the key box were simple and we had no problem opening it. The room was clean and spacious. We had considered getting an Indian takeaway from Carrick (6 min drive away) and enjoying it in the room but while the room was as mentioned earlier clean and spacious there was no view so we decided to walk into the village where we had a beautiful meal in a pub / restaurant The Leitrim Inn. We read in some of the reviews that their room overlooked the marina and if that had been the situation we would have loved to have carried out our initial dining plan.

We did not dislike anything really although be aware the restaurant, bar and large patio area are currently closed so the hotel feels a bit soulless and feels like a little like a Travelodge (Nothing wrong with that) but we thought that it was great value for money. We paid 79 euro for a Monday night. With the current general price of Hotels we feel that 79 to 89 euro midweek and 120 to 130euro weekends the Marina Hotel offers fantastic value for money. We would love to return and get one of the rooms overlooking the Marina.

The toilet wouldn't flush properly, there was a smell of sewage from blocked drains, floors in the room looked like they hadn't been hoovered in weeks, there was no staff available to speak to, kitchen closed down and not told about it while booking

The front of the hotel is very dark, it is an unmanned hotel, no visible staff. I felt scared staying there alone. Noise from a group of people also staying in the hotel late into the night.

The room clean and perfectly appointed.. it is a pity to see that the rest of the hotel feels just a bit neglected. I hope to see this hotel getting back to business as it has great potential in a lovely area.

This property has no staff and it is self check in and check out. It felt a little bit eerie due to the fact that there was nobody available. I understand this is stated in the booking process but it did not feel like a "hotel" check in. The building feels very empty and a bit abandoned despite the fact that the room itself was clean and pleasant. Rooms are not soundproofed either, I could hear my neighbour in the room next door on the phone and using the toilet during the night.

Lovely hotel in a nice quiet area

Hotel is in a nice quiet location beside an apartment complex. We booked a family room which was spacious and comfortable

When we arrived at the hotel there was no Reception staff, we had to wait on an email to give us the code for the main door and a code to retrieve our key. We had an issue with a very poor flushing toilet - found it hard to speak to someone about it as the hotel feels derelict (no staff at Reception or anywhere in the hotel, only staff in cleaning the rooms in the morning time). The bar/restaurant in the hotel was closed which was disappointing

Excellent Value for money

Excellent value for money. Nice comfortable bed. Plenty of parking and nice scenery around the area. I was sceptical about no staff being on check in but it really didn't effect us much. The hotel was very clean also

One of the lamps beside the bed in our room wasn't working. The lift was also out of order but it was being fixed when we were leaving which was good to see. Otherwise not much to complain about.

Pleasant, quiet and a good base for us to get around the area.

It was clean and tidy. The location is good with plenty of parking spaces. The room was cleaned and towels etc changed everyday even though I thought that was an extra service you had to ask for so we were pleasantly surprised when that happened. Would stay again.

Honestly can’t think of anything. Although some people may not like the fact that there are no staff there most of the time. Don’t matter to us.

Room was clean and ideally located for our purpose.

The lift 🛗 was not working properly on arrival- we had to take the stairs to the first level and then the elevator to the second floor. But we mentioned it to the housekeeper the following morning and it was sorted when we returned. Also the light 💡 was not working in the main room, and it was fixed while we were out . But the door was not locked by whoever was in there last night- either maintenance or housekeeper 🙃🙃

Basic with a great location

Location was great, overlooking the water and minutes walk to town. Comfortable bed and quilt.

No reception, bar or restaurant. Curtains were very difficult to pull and were partially hanging off the rail when we went in. This was fixed when I phoned the number we were given. With the lack of facilities, I think there should have been a fridge in the room. I thought the rate expensive for having no breakfast, €129. I actually thought breakfast was included in the rate and got a surprise when it wasn't but that was my own fault for not checking properly.
