Not worth the money for the experience.

The location was quite good, but it was just off a busy road and although one can walk along the Loire you could always hear the road. Local restaurant was great but be aware of it's opening times. The host was very helpful and polite.

Although we knew it is a cave it was still very damp and musty. I appreciate we went in September but the sun was unable to shine into the cave due to the height of the adjacent houses and driveway. There were cobwebs everywhere and The parking is not private but on a small piece of waste land across the road.

Warmest welcome and cool cave lodgings

The warm and welcoming styling of the room and the whole style and layout of the apartment. The winter garden room where I could sit and watch the birds outside. The food and fresh eggs were excellent. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful.

We loved our stay with Christine and Didier.

Typical French breakfast, but with home made jams and freshly squeezed juices. A unique converted cave with lovely interior decor, a large comfortable bed, kitchen facilities and a superb bathroom with two basins, a walk in shower and separate wc. There is also a small private terrace outside the room. A welcome bottle of sparkling Vouvray (local) wine greeted us on arrival. Hosts Christine and Didier were very friendly and helpful, even managing to make a late booking for Sunday lunch at a local restaurant ! Available parking across the road.

It would have been useful to have had a bath mat outside the shower.

Wonderful experience

Very comfortable room in an interesting setting. Hosts were excellent and very helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit. Very nice breakfasts that varied each morning with local produce including eggs from their own hens!

A real gem in a beautiful village

The hosts have lots of taste and have created a beautiful, cosy and large accommodation full of character. Breakfast was served on the terrasse and was very good. Our hosts were extremely friendly and took the time to have a long chat with us. The chambre d'hôtes is walking distance from the village and a fantastic restaurant La table de Joseph. Rochecorbon is a wonderful discovery for us and we would like to go back and stay again at the Troglodytes.

Superbe séjour !

Magnifique gîte troglodyte, joliment décoré dans une maison vigneronne typique. La situation géographique idéale pour visiter les châteaux. Accueil très chaleureux de Christine et Didier, qui font tout pour que vous passiez un merveilleux séjour et sont de bons conseils pour les visites et les bonnes adresses. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Merci ! Nous recommandons vivement!!!!

Exceptionnel je recommande à 200%

Un accueil au delà de nos espérance, Christine est au top pour un petit papotage au petit déjeuner, avec des conseils qui vont au delà du local! La suite est originale et très agréable, nous reviendrons lorsqu’il fera plus chaud pour profiter du jaccuzi! Merci pour ce choix du resto aux produits frais et superbement cuisinés. Et un grand merci aussi pour ce conseil de grillades à Porto! Nous l’avons trouvé c’était top!!!
