Amazing stay in this cave room

Amazing room set in a cave. Thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. We were able to park our car inside the gated area. Breakfast served in the room was amazing. Dogs enjoyed having the run of the fully enclosed, safe garden. Restaurants within walking distance and lovely riverside walks. Very friendly and helpful host.

Charming overnight stay

Delightful property which is in fact a charming cave. Very spacious and comfortable with a lovely owner who could not do enough for us. She booked us a meal at Restaurant Joseph which was only 2 minutes away and was wonderful. You can also walk along the banks of the Loire and get to Vouvrey for your wine supply in 5 minutes. Lovely breakfast was supplied in the room

Unique experience living in a cave, wonderful stay with exceptional breakfast

This is one of a kind place - you literally live in a cave while enjoy all the comfort of modern living. The experience is very unique. The room is spacious and tastefully decorated with well-thought touches. Bathroom is very clean. The unit does not have a kitchen, but tea, coffee, kettle, microwave, dishes and cups are all available in the room. Nadege, the host, is very kind and friendly. The breakfast she prepared is superb, so fresh and delicious. We had a wonderful stay at Nadege's place.

Lovely welcoming host. Very interesting and quirky ‘cave’ which was spacious with a comfortable bed. Car parking was very safe. Homemade products for breakfast were delightful.

Difficult to offload contents of our suitcases as very limited storage space. The area around the fridge and the washbasin were both difficult to use and due to limited space.

A wonderful stay

The room was very nice, well decorated and so big! The place is quite special because it’s a cave The host is lovely: she was caring about our stay, preparing a home made breakfast in the cozy terrace. We had very good holidays at Les Troglos. Thank you so much for your warm stay

sorry wouldn’t stay again

it was very unusual it was in a cave!

the smell was awful it was very musty and full of condensation everything felt damp. Maybe a d humidifier would help. curtains at door are well past their best. shower was off the wall. our car almost got stuck in between the walls leading up to the property there was less than half an inch gap to get through. definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Amazing troglodyte dwelling

Just so amazing to stay in a troglodyte dwelling for the first time and one that is so delightfully decorated - loved it. Of equal importance was the warmth of our welcome and our host’s cheerfulness. A lovely breakfast rounded off a wonderful overnight stop. Total bonus that it was dog friendly and lovely walk opposite all along the river bank 😀😀😀

Host is very friendly and warm heart. Staying in the cave was fun. The shower always had hot water. The breakfast was simple but good quality. Park for free on the street. Had dinner at Josephs Table resto just around the corner. Food was nice.

Excellent breakfast served in the garden. We love cats and Valerie (the host) has two very friendly cats: Donut and Cookie. She also gave us tips about local restaurants and was generally very helpful. Excellent location to visit many Loire valley castles.

The host is very friendly and speaks good English. The room corresponded exactly to what is shown in the picture. Breakfast was good and even gluten-free options were offered.

The room was very humid. The host warned us about this but I still did not realize how humid cave accommodation can be.

Little Gem of a find. Our third stay there.

Perfect peaceful and comfortable stopover location. Set in a cave a real novelty too. We have enjoyed equally both of her suites. Valerie is a delightfully helpful host. She booked dinner for us at a terrific restaurant just a few mins walk #tabledejoseph.
