Low quality establishment, only booked as other hotels in the area were booked up. Will not be returning

Rooms were cold. Restaurant and bar was cold. I requested a room change due to temperature. Menu in restaurant printed on an A4 piece of paper and left on the bar, odd selection of food to choose from. Staff were speaking in own language throughout rather than English.

It’s been refurbished but the remnants of its original 70s design remain. Bar and restaurant are impersonal.

There was no hot water on day 1 of a 2 day stay and on speaking to the staff some apology but everyone is in the same boat!!! No price reduction or offset offered

Location was good for the motorway, parking was very easy with plenty of room.

Lovely stay.

I had a great stay at the Garner Hotel in Preston. The room doors were double locked, which made me feel very safe — perfect for solo travellers. The room itself was fairly spacious with plenty of plug sockets, a great tea and coffee selection, and a handy hairdryer. Complimentary toiletries, including shampoo and conditioner, were provided. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus, and the bed and pillows were super comfy — overall, a really comfortable and secure stay. Lovely staff.

When I arrived, I asked if I could book a table for dinner but was told the restaurant was closed. I hadn’t realised this before my stay — otherwise, I would’ve planned to eat out. As a solo traveller, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable going out late to find food in an unknown location to myself. The room also didn’t have a main ceiling light, just several smaller lamps placed around the room, which made the lighting feel a bit dim And £3 for a can of Pepsi Max felt quite overpriced!

Ideal for working in Preston

No restaurant on a Bank Holiday Sunday evening…no mention on the website when booking and no hot water for a shower this morning Stayed in IHG Hotels all over the world Not the standard you’d expect Went to mention this at check out but the reception were out doing security checks at 8.30am for all those early morning burglars that were out of bed early this morning looking for hot water…. Don’t worry Garner you were obviously safe as you didn’t have any

Convenient location, close to wedding venue. Quiet. Smart reception area and dining/bar.

No restaurant facilities for an evening meal on arrival. One member of staff to check in and serve at bar. Cold shower.

Comfortable stay, warm reception and attentive staff.

Booked my stay at very short notice on the day of arrival, warm welcome from reception, comfortable quiet room at the rear of the property, good shower, good wifi connectivity, good service in the bar/restaurant for dinner and no complaints about the quality of the food - as a stop-over (and I use a lot) the hotel was a gem of a find and I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Hotel is just off the main road but tucked well back. Peaceful surroundings with a garage opposite that had hot food which was a bonus as we were down for our sons football tournament. Nice big car park with plenty of spaces. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Guests were also quiet, or the walls were thick enough that we couldn’t hear them.

I feel there should be a small fridge in the room to keep bottles of water/juice cold. There is also a farm nearby and the smell infiltrated the room we were in (facing the farm and wind was blowing in our direction)

Pleasant place to stay and the staff were nice.

Rooms were clean with enough of the basics needed for a night stay. The showering facilities were of a good standard

Toilet in the shower hadn't been cleaned properly and there was old wee stains on the surface. The room was compact (small floor space) which wasn't really an issue but had to move around the room carefully in the dark. Breakfast was a bit dried up (hash browns and bacon) but the sausages were lush.

The hotel is excellent value, clean, modern with excellent customer service. The breakfast is just OK.

This was an excellent experience, the decor of the hotel on arrival was modern and inviting. The staff were professional, friendly & helpful. The room was small but adequate in size for our stay, clean and had all the facilities we needed. An area for improvement is the breakfast, we arrived for breakfast at 9am and most of the croissants were gone. The croissants were not stale but not fresh. The ham and cheese were uncovered in the fridge and had hardened being exposed. The cooked food was luke warm. Anything additional we requested from the staff (gluten free toast & fried eggs) arrived hot and the service was excellent.

Great staff, good parking, but more space would be nice.

We stayed here for a wedding that was happening a five minute drive down the road - so we didn't need much. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was good, and for us - it was ideally located. The parking was a bonus.

The room was a bit small - when you've got two cases of luggage and you're trying to get ready for a 'do' with someone else, and the bed takes up all the floor space, it gets a bit tight. The walls must be pretty thin too - a couple had a wonderful time in each other's company the following morning, and we heard everything, only a few doors down.
