We have stayed here a few times as it allows us to travel onwards from a convenient M6 location.
Hotel rooms are what you expect from a Macdonald property; clean, spacious, fresh and comfortable.
Unfortunately staff levels appear down which compromised our check-in.
Definitely recommend this hotel.
Great for commuting to Blackpool.

Great location. This is the hotel the McDonalds group has forgotten about. Badly designed bathroom. Knackered everything. The staff are very nice.

Hotel has a great location right next to the M 6. Great base for exploring the area or as stop off during travel. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Big disappointment was the breakfast. Very poor selection of items and the freshness of the bakery items were highly questionable. Very poor value and not recommended.

Our booking through Agoda for 28/09 was denied by reception; took 15 minutes after a five hour drive to get a key. Room was freezing, I went to reception to ask for a heater, none available.Three hours later was told the central heating was on automatic. Temperature in our room was 12 degrees. At breakfast they denied our booking included breakfast so another 15 minutes standing in a queue while the man went ot reception and returned to agree we had paid a bed and breakfast rate ,no apology offered. Too cold to stay a second night. Met a woman in the lift who was on her way to her fourth room, first one had a leak second one was too cold and the third one was dirty.
