Beautiful location, so peaceful, though surrounded by birdsong. Saw deer a few times too, and very close to the cabin. Cosy and comfy space, and a relatively decent sized fridge! Lovely to have the table on the deck too.
The bed was a bit small, though comfortable enough. The Lodge would benefit from a feather duster for some of the cobwebs. Not appallingly bad, but just in the corners and above the bed. The water heater could do with some insulation as it comes on often to heat up and is a bit noisy.

Location, availability, cleanliness, size.
Parking was limited but we managed, and some minor issues such as Kitchen Sink was leaking in the 6 x Berth Lodge. Bathroom light over the WHB didn't work. Wall mounted clock in the Kitchen area didn't work, but other than these few things - all good

The chalet was comfortable and situated in a quiet and beautiful location.
We found the chalet very pleasant and clean BUT somewhat lacking in certain areas, mainly the kitchen - there was a lack of necessary implements such as a frying pan, wooden spoon, spare kitchen towels and paper tissues, oven gloves, scissors and suchlike. The bedroom was fine and cosy and the living room was very pleasant. We had one issue in the bathroom when it wouldn't flush but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently. However, there was no bathroom mat around the bowl and the floor was cold. Another concern was that we did not know where reception was situated and it eventually turned out that it was unattended the entire week - there was never anybody present! We also feel we have an issue regarding the extra charge for a pet - our dog is a bichon frise and as such does not shed any hair whatsoever, so we consider the extra charge excessive, considering the high cost of the chalet itself. We suggest the price be lowered substantially as we have been to cheaper establishments in the past which were better equipped.
