Very, very disappointed, over priced. Didn’t sleep well at all, couldn’t find anyone in the morning to inform.

The property was at a function a friend and myself had been invited to.

The male staff member on duty watched us both struggle with our luggage up the stairs and didn’t offer a helping hand . The room was dirty, cold and needed a good renovation and deep clean. There were 3 windows in our room that rattled all night long and kept us awake with a dreadful draft coming under the gap in the door . We ended up using our coats over us, as the blankets provided which were rolled up in the bottom of the wardrobe smelt of damp . Please find below photos of dirt in the room, I have more photos of broken and dirty banister and a video to demonstrate the noise and movement of the window if needed

A really lovely room with a great view from the window, you could see the geese flying down the river, an excellent shower, comfortable bed, and an iron and ironing board in the room which I couldnt have predicted I'd need but I did and it was very useful. There was also a fan which I didnt need to use which I thought was a great idea. excellent choices for tea and biscuits and very helpful nice staff. lots of easy on-street parking and a car park nearby made it very easy to unload and load.

the lights in the courtyard at the back were on all night, this wasnt an issue as the room had good blackout curtains but it would have been nice if they'd turned off.

Nice place to stay and close to all the restaurants and walks in town.

Clean room, spacious, great shower, simple but homely. Great location, not having a restaurant is not an issue as there are many within a 5 minute walk within a pleasant town.

Parking is around the corner, very close, but a heads up or recommendation where to park would make people happy.

Beware!!! Deceitfully avoiding informing you there is a nightclub and kebab shop attached.

The staff were adequately polite and professional.

This hotel is basically a nightclub with rooms above and next to a late night kebab shop. Neither of these things are an issue of or in themselves. The issue is these facts are intentionally hidden on the advertising of the rooms. Once they have your money (non-refundable) they then tell you about the nightclub and take away immediately (twice in fact, message and email) so they clearly know it is an issue. But they won't allow cancellations. Don't expect any sleep with a noisy nightclub and loud, smelly kebab shop open until the early hours with loud, drunks aplenty... So deceitful. I'm sure they are legally covered by hiding the facts away, but morally bankrupt...

Excellent place to stay for a couple of nights and use as a base to explore Cardigan.

The hotel is right in the centre of Cardigan making it the perfect location to explore the town. Dog friendly. We liked that our room was cleaned every day and tea, biscuits and towels replaced. Nice bathroom.

Thin walls and a creaky floorboard right outside our room door meant we were very aware of guests staying in neighbouring rooms and walking past our door.

Comfortable well located and good value

Good location at reasonable price with welcoming owner. The twin room was lovely, airy and comfortable, with windows on three sides. The downstairs bar must have been the best stocked in town.

No dedicated car parking space, but overnight street parking was generally available close by, with a larger car park round the corner, but which was full by mid morning.

Perfect place for a short stay in Cardigan!

We managed to come on the one night a month the nightclub below the hotel was open, so it was noisy later on, we were told when we arrived and only taking off one star for it as it didn’t affect us too much but worth checking before you go!

Very disappointing hotel, very low standard

The location of the hotel was okay the location itself was not up to much. Disappointed with Cardigan, tired and empty. Difficult to find somewhere to eat on Wednesday night apart from the chippy.

I didn’t like being charged £70 for two dogs. I’m quite used to paying extra for my dogs. But I expect something in return, like a water bowl or a dog bed even. Nothing, the room was topped up daily with tea coffee etc, but not cleaned or bed made, really poor.

Clean, central, but unbearably noisy

It was central, clean and the room had everything we needed

The noise was absolutely horrendous! We had a message to say there may be some noise at there’s a nightclub downstairs but it was utterly unbearable. The noise through the window was so incredibly loud (we recorded videos), and the room was so hot we had to open the window which meant no sleep until past 2am as our room directly overlooked the outside nightclub area. We don’t believe bookings should be accepted when the nightclub is open as it is impossible to get any sleep. We almost drove home at 1am due to the noise and people stomping around in the corridor. Walls are also paper thin so again this interrupted sleep.

Slightly sloping corridor floors (possible subsidence due to age of building) which made me feel dizzy. as I walked to my room. When walking from one side of the room to the other, the floor vibrated making the windows vibrate too. Sadly, very noisy occupants (long term stay) next door. They smoked and the smoke wafted through the door😳

Excellent boutique budget hotel

Hotel was excellent value and for the price exceeded expectations. Room and bathroom were a reasonable size and clear and airy with decent views. The hotel was easy to find and well situated in the centre of town. The lady in reception was extremely helpful.

Had to get used to reception only being manned from 3-9pm but entering hotel was easy outside of these times due to key system to side entrance and direct access to the stairs. There was no car park but this was overcome by directions to a small free car park nearby.

Great location, large room lovely staff.

Large room. There was a function on downstairs but we couldn’t hear anything from our room. Close to the Main Street and a fabulous restaurant ‘The Hen Printworks’. Krishna the front of house manager was very accomodating and let us store our bikes in reception and even came early to unlock for us the next morning.

No secure bike parking on site.

The mattress protector had an old yellowy stain on, and a short black hair. we were only staying one night so didn’t complain, as you get what you pay for. There was an event on, but with the TV on, the noise was cancelled out. The room felt very eerie and me and my partner kept waking up every hour, either very hot or very cold.. the door to the room also is very thin, you can hear everything in the hallway and other rooms. Overall, the stay was nice in cardigan bay, however i would not choose this Hotel again. And the reviews are wrong… the hallway doesn’t smell of damp, it smells of nothing, its okay.

Birthday trip

The location and rooms are lovely, but I wanted to specifically note the staff - the receptionist Krishna was incredibly helpful and nice, we arrived quite late on a bank holiday (which meant most places were closed) and she went above and beyond to help us find anything that was open and still serving food (otherwise we would be up for a very hungry night haha) Definitely would stay here again!

What a gem of a place, everything you need, spacious room, lovely and quiet, clean, very friendly staff. Parked in the swimming pool pay and display carpark 2 minutes away for a bargain price. Some lovely places to eat out at a very short walk away. A lovely night away. Not far to grab breakfast. Thankyou

A pleasant relaxed stay in a lovely hotel.

We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who guided us through all the information we needed, the hotel is centrally located and convenient for various eateries. A large well equipped, nicely decorated comfortable room. The shower was powerful with nice toiletries available . We had a good night’s sleep in the huge comfy bed and will definitely book again if in the area .

My only comment would be the stairwell decor is in need of a facelift as it falls below the standard at the rest of the hotel. I was a little nervous of what was in store when walking up to my room, but glad to say the decor in my room was in good order.
