Perfect location for all the family to enjoy

It was a lovely cabin with all that was needed for our stay with lovely views just right for anyone with a dog or if you just like walking,with some local pubs with some fantastic food.

Quiet and in a lovely location, a short walk to the beach. Well equipped as described. Staff quick to help and very welcoming.

No hand soap. Due to kitchen location it suffered from cooking smells but when we spoke to the staff they came out with air freshener and scent defuser.

The location was beautiful. Just a short walk to the beach. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. I was worried about it being cold as we came end of October but it was lovely and warm with the heaters on. I would definitely recommend and will return in the summer.

Cosy chalet in wooded valley with a patio. 5 minutes picturesque walk to Wembury beach and The Great Mewstone. And the South West Coast Path.

The chalet is on the side of the valley so it is very steep.

As it was end of season and had been very wet the trees and shrubs were rather overgrown and made the sitting/dining area quite dark. Hob operating instructions need to be more easy to find!

The location and the view

It wasn't very clean,it was dog hair everywhere,even in the fridge,and the smell inside was very bad,like mould , even in the cupboard.All.my clean clothes smelled very bad.,not really worth the money.

A cabin in the woods...

Churchwood Valley is a beautiful location. Our cosy little two-person cabin was more like being in a tree house! The furnishings are simple but comfortable and the space has everything you need for a great stay. The patio space was cloistered in the trees making for a lovely private space to sit - and in the quiet evenings, you can even hear the rolling waves from Wembury beach that is just a few minutes' walk away. We found this a fantastic base for our visits to Plymouth as we were just a 20-minute drive from the centre. Furthermore, it was a handy base for our trips into beautiful Cornwall. We had such a wonderful adventure.

The country roads around Churchwood Valley are an adventure but easy enough once we got the hang of it. The shower is quite small making for an amusing wash for my 6ft 5 husband 😂 It also has very little water pressure - we affectionately named it 'the trickle'. This did not detract from our visit and is understandable given the location. Our cabin smelled quite strongly of damp for the duration of our stay. I bought some febreeze and aired out the cabin which helped. But the removal of the drawer unit where the smell is coming from would fix this.

We enjoyed it a lot

Nice and clean cabins. We liked the silence, privacy and short way to the beach. Everything required was available.

I only missed a dryer for drying wet towels or blankets on the terrace after being at beach. This would have been helpful.

A peaceful, private getaway with stunning views, great amenities, and a truly divine location.

Our cabin had a beautiful view, surrounded by trees and bushes, offering a level of privacy that’s rare these days. We enjoyed the peaceful sounds of nature throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils—nearly everything you might need—and everything was spotlessly clean, with many items appearing brand new. We found the location absolutely divine.

The beds were a bit disappointing, as we are a tall family and found them too thin and small. That was the only drawback.

Time to relax enjoying the nature

It is a very beautiful location in a lovely, quiet wood with many flowers and small animals. Only a few minutes walk to the beach of Wembury. We stayed in our own cabin with own space to sit outside.

Parking is a little bit narrow especially for "left-drive-beginners"

Very dated , old and smelt very musty , a relative was in a larger more modern lodge and this was lovely . The one bedroom lodges need updating . It was clean . Comfortable the location if you just want a bed maybe fine . Limited WiFi signal .

The location was superb, private, secluded,well cared for, rather rustic appeals to me. Lots of wildlife and nature is the winner here

Great, quiet stay I would do again anytime.

The setting of the park is great, the staff is wonderful and has a lot of useful tips, we did a fair share of chatting with the staff who were not too busy in pre-season. The local pubs are super nice and all reachable on foot (some with a ferry, which is also great fun).

A beautiful place to stay

The staff were so friendly and kind. The cabin was lovely with everything we needed and they were so kind accommodating us in a cabin with only a few steps and a shower to make it easier for my elderly parents. It is such a lovely relaxing place in the woods and so close to the beach.

I am planning to take the children back for a holiday

The views were beautiful. The birds sang a wonderful song it was a delight to wake up to.. there was everything in the kitchen to prepare food and to dish up.. the fridge was very clean and turned on before we arrived.

Wonderful cottages in the forest, peace and quiet, that's what I needed. 5 minutes walk to the sea, wonderful place, I recommend it with all my heart.

Overall, this was a great find for a last minute booking and we would definitely stay here again.

The location was fantastic for the coast and walks. Not too far away from main areas and supermarket if needed. The location of the cabin within the park was lovely with a clear view over the meadow. The owner was lovely and the information provided was great, including site map. On site facilities are great when open.

The main beach adjacent to the park has restrictions for dogs which we didn't know. Not a massive issue but was disappointing as this prevented us from going on when quiet to let our dog have a swim. The roads around the park are very narrow and was an extremely tight squeeze when trying to get past parked cars. No one way system in place so was a bit tricky when you had two vehicles coming in opposite directions.

Perfect getaway

Peaceful and quiet place surrounded by nature. Perfect for reset break from loud city. Cabin was amazing. Clean and quite big. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Kitchen fully equipped. We didn't spend enough time there as it was just a weekend break, but will definitely coming back there for a longer stay. Perfect for getaway with dog.

Rustic experience in a lovely location

In a beautiful location; however very out-of-the-way, along narrow roads. Roads through the property itself are also narrow and rough and we had a fairly steep walk up steps to our cabin. All well worth it from our point of view, but not for the faint-hearted. Cabin had everything we needed (although we weren't aware that towels aren't included... but available for a small fee from the office). A slight musty smell in our cabin detracted a little from the experience. Overall very happy with our stay and good value for money.
