The property is beautiful and accommodation is as seen - is a short walk into Bruge and the owners are extremely helpful in showing you the best sites of the city.

It is exactly like a home from home

We have mostly cons (not pros) for this B&B. As for pros/ pluses, we can say: -the room was nice (although not soundproof as advertised – you can hear every noise from outside, with all the windows completely closed, good thing that it's mostly a quiet area or you wouldn’t get any sleep!) ; the room comes with some water and a small bottle of wine -the breakfast was nice, quality products, although no vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers) offered, but as we observed that food is specific for the area; also no vegetarian alternatives, it was a fixed breakfast -after realizing that they were rude, and after seeing, the next day, how clean our room was!!, I’m sure they thought about the booking grade and they left us some cookies in the room and also their attitude improved.

First I’d like to start that we (me and my wife) choose this B&B for his high grade, 9 +, but we have no idea who and why gave it a 9+ , as this is not what we experienced, especially in the first day. We arrived earlier than the check-in hour (which was at 17:00 - and we announced this, of course, days before), to leave our luggage in the baggage room. We were welcomed (better said un-welcomed) by a grumpy face and voice, by the lady of the house. I think the second or the third phrase that she told us was: “You are not allowed with food in the room!” – this left us speechless for a couple of seconds as we weren’t carrying any food with us and never said that we intended to order food in the room or anything like that! We have no idea where this came from?! We were very disappointed by the complete lack of hospitality, which ruined my wife’s mood in the first day there. Also we wanted to take something from the baggage and to put a bag on a chair and they stopped us as if our bag was dirty…. They also told us to be careful not to leave the floor wet in the bathroom, and they keep on repeating (at least 5 times...) that they are a B&B, all this without any request or question from us.... as if we had just arrived from the countryside with mud on our boots.....Shocking! As the room was already paid for, we decided to ignore the lack of: manner, hospitality and rudeness and just play it cool…what to do, really?! At first we decided to give them a grade 3 for their behavior, as we were very upset. We then decided for a 6 because of the pros/pluses and also because we are forgiving kind of people....... However, because when we arrived, they treated us as intruders or peasants/savages or all of them !! and we had a bitter taste in our mouth all the day…they don’t even deserve a 6 ! We definitely expected a better welcome for the amount of 450 EUR paid for 3 nights. And we want to tell them that there is only one chance to make a first impression !
