When I arrived I was told I had been upgraded to a nice room with a view.
That I couldn't have stayed longer because it was booked up

I don't know how the budget rooms compare to the room at the Alpen Resort, but I thought the budget room was amazing. The room itself was huge; loved the bonus seating areas and expansive floor space, and the lower-level bathroom was the size of locker room!!
The pool was amazing - spacious with lots of added features. The location was great, too - close to the train station and grocery store, and right off the main shopping and dining district.
Very good complimentary breakfast.
