Apartments Vi-La

The lively host that went far and beyond to make our stay nice. Washing machine and little kitchen. Good beds, good WiFi.

The stairs to the apartment with the luggage (I did not know that the old city of Dubrovnik was not walkable) and that you needed to carry your luggage in the city.

A nice place to sleep in the beautiful old town city center, airconditioned (which is very appreciated after a long day in good summer temperatures) and clean. Private parking was provided by the owner at some distance from the old town. Tip: Mind the strict traffic regulations in the old town area - when a parking is agreed with the owner then simply drive your car past the limits where it says you can't enter to the agreed meeting spot in old town for the parking and all will be fine.

The apartment is located all the way at the top of the stairs in the street and it's a loooong climb with luggage (and without). There's no alternative like an elevator/escalator, so if you have "old legs", then this may not be your place. This goes for many apartments in Dubrovnik old town, so not per se only for Vi-La. We quickly got used to the climb and it was a good excercise.

The place is in the old town and you are right where everything is happening all day long and in the evening…the best restaurant, the best views …I couldn’t have imagined staying any where else… Our Host is super responsive and very helpful! She is the nicest!

This is not a place to stay for motorbikers. After a long day or riding, you do not want to haul you luggage trough town (pedestrian zone) and up never ending stairs. Also a hefty charge of €30.- cash for privat parking in an even further away garage is painful. All of this is not mentioned in de Properties description!
