Relaxed, unpretentious family hotel for exploring the Verzasca valley

Cute place, high up the scenic Verzasca valley. Nothing luxurious, but great starting point for various hikes in this stunning area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, good value for both room and dinner.

The sound insulation could be better, and there was a bit of a smell in the corridor, maybe from someone's used hiking shoes ;) Having said that, we would definitely recommend the place and come again.

Perfect place for vacation!

The location and service are great! And we love Daniele and his team so much that we again prolonged our stay for some more days in order to enjoy the beautiful Verzasca Valley and the mountains to the fullest.

Best Hotel Experience in Brione

The vibe is so chill and cozy. The food were AMAZIIING! The rooms are clean and complete with the basic amenities you need for your stay. And the view is also great! The best part of our stay was definitely Daniele & Dario (restaurant attendants). They were bringing in the lively vibe every time we’re dining. They make us feel like part of the family (not just guests); making us laugh all the time and always there for our every need. I feel like I got two new friends in Brione. We will definitely come back!

Simple but with all the things we needed. New, clean, nice terrace, garden and surroundings. Quiet. Right by the bus station and on the walking tracks that take you through the beautiful valley. Parking behind the house. Nice breakfast and very good dinner. Generous and friendly staff. We had a very nice stay, wished we could stay longer!

Excellent place to stay if you don’t mind having privacy at all

The location is excellent, the staff is exceptional, the hotel is very clean and the food is fresh.

Unfortunately the isolation between rooms is very poor, we have never experienced such a bad isolation; we could hear our neighbours from both neighbouring rooms so loudly as they would have been in the same room with us. So, a big minus for not having privacy at all.

This is a hidden gem, the owner, staff, hotel, restaurant, room and location were fantastic!! We are so glad that we found this and Daniele Vergani is the best host you will ever meet, he takes great pride in making everything perfect for his guest!! The people working at Familienhotel Campagna were helpful, kind, humoristic and in very nice! Versasca Valley is a wonderful place… FOOD was excellent on this hotel!

It was very hot in the night and we cädidnt dare open the windows as there were so extremly many flies in this area. Maybe installing insect nets in the windows? Or fans / Thinner summer blankets… Also the stay got expensive. i know swiss prices, but still for being out in the countryside and without anything ”extra” as a pool etc this got expensive.

This was a great hotel in the beautiful valley. Since most people don't go that far, the area is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff is very nice, rooms are cosy and we'll equipped. We would like to visit again, this time for longer!

Really nice location, wonderful staff

Staff here is super nice!! The manager was realllllllly nice, funny and accommodating. To be honest i have never met such a nice staff in Switzerland. The food was great. The location is just marvellous. We were able to visit alot of places in early morning and avoiding rush.

Wifi was not working and the room is not sound proof. You can sometimes hear people from neighboring rooms.

Very nice hotel for families with kids. Excellent dinner, breakfast was nice too. Hotel is close to other villages with beautiful walks, not much to see around the hotel itself. The only downside was that the walls are made of wood and are thin so you can hear your neighbours.

Very nice starting point for discovering the area

No fuss. It is exactly as advertised and is good value for money. We arrived by car. The hotel is easy to find, with parking available on site. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The food at the restaurant is great! We had dinner there both nights of our stay. Daniele is a wonderful host - warm, welcoming, and funny. The location is good - it is possible to start following the hiking trail from the hotel to Lavertezzo and then take the bus back. Or take the bus down to Verzasca dam and then back. The bus stops right at the hotel.

Exceptional hotel, superb service and delicious food

Everything 1. clean, comfortable, no-fuss hotel in the middle of the valley 2. has more than enough parking spaces and the bus 321 also stops right in front of the hotel -- so you can park your car in the hotel parking (for free) and just take the bus back and forth 3. awesome landscape and walking / bike trails around the hotel -- natural playgrounds, a lagoon and also the river just by the side of the hotel 4. SUPERB host (Daniel) who makes sure everyone is comfortable, safe and enjoying their stay -- he even made an en extra effort to connect us immediately to his dentist when our little son had a toothache and we really appreciated it so much 5. EXCELLENT PIZZAS and we also loved their seafood salad and my favorite calf liver with roasted potatoes 6. although there are no nearby stores or supermarkets, the hotel restaurant is open from 8am until 10pm so you will not go hungry or thirsty (but make sure you also bring your own stack of snacks and drinks in your room if you or your family needs anything in the middle of the night) -- but if you have had their pizzas and other delicious selection from their menu, you will not feel hungry at all :) 7. we love it that we are in the middle of the valley surrounded by awesome natural wonders, and yet be in very clean, comfortable accommodations that still maintained and reflected the rustic surroundings 8. i have had my best cups of cappuccino everyday just looking out at the awesome surroundings :)

that our holiday is over and we needed to go back to the city -- but we will definitely come back and stay longer :) just a suggestion -- may be also a good idea to have a small vending machine that dispenses some snacks or basic toiletries for guests -- but this will not make or break the awesomeness of this place, it's wonderful as it is :) the wifi was also not the strongest -- but we came here to enjoy nature and be in the outdoors rather than be on our gadgets, so we managed just fine :)
