Apartments Bella Vista

The host was so lovely! He brought us lemons and a juicer from his own home. The room was beautiful and clean, with breathtaking views. The photos do not do justice. Great value for money. And lovely hospitality. What an amazing stay we had!

The father of the host was very friendly and charming - an absolute gem of a human! The apartment was spacious and had a wonderful view! We were very happy to be assigned room 4, as it was the furthest unit down the row and the most private. The air conditioning was amazing and did a great job of quickly cooling off the room. It’s about a 40 min walk into town, and the road is lovely. (but narrow!) There is a little market conveniently located one minute away from the unit, and there is also a great little plaza area with benches and ideal swimming right in front of the unit.

The room can be very humid, and unfortunately, the windows don’t have screens on them, so getting air flow without bugs is pretty difficult. I ended up with a lot of bites due to this. The bathroom could really use a deep clean - there is a lot of orange scum and blackish mold in the corners and in the shower. There is a general dirt covering on many of the outlets and plug in areas. In the evening, the unit next to us used all of the hot water due to us sharing a tank. The bed mattress needed replacing - it is an old coil mattress and my husband ended up sleeping on the couch because it was so uncomfortable, and my hips were aching by the end of the night from it. The blanket on the bed was something more like a thin curtain style material, and didn’t actually cover the entire bed. We ended up grabbing a couple of blankets out of the wardrobe, and one definitely looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. (Stains, etc.)

We had a great stay in a wonderful property with a beautiful view of the water and mountains! 😀 The hosts were very friendly and there was very good communication!

I loved the view and the host was very kind.

The room provided for us was on the first floor and the pictures of the room were different. I was expecting to see a balcony. It didn't meet with my expectatitons.
