Great vibe, amazing hosts, unforgettable stay

Budva Backpackers Home has an incredible atmosphere, thanks to its unique team. Gordana is a lovely character — always around, always willing to help, and does so in her own straightforward and endearing way. Storm is a natural entertainer who brings people together effortlessly, organizing fantastic gatherings that made every evening memorable. Sophie and Pato added to the fun, making the social vibe even stronger. Overall, I really enjoyed both the hostel and the people. The energy of the place was just right — friendly, relaxed, and fun. And of course, Budva itself is stunning.

Amazing central old town location, really nice staff and good family! Loved the apartment vibe on each level. Each dorm has its own kitchen and very well stocked with supplies and bathroom, you could even take a proper bath, if you want. Kept very clean. Nice top floor common room to be social.

Could be a little more effort in to socializing the hostel guests especially since it's divided by floor and separate kitchen. Maybe a common whatsapp group ?

Great location. Very nice owner and staff. the owner even gave me a free ride and 10% discount at their sister hostel in Kotor.

really functional and pleasant. privacy curtains and comfortable beds. huge shower stalls. HUGE!

big eating space which doubles as the gathering hall. it’s big. kitchen is a side by side double space which is nice. tight quarters in with a narrow passage to navigate and is also a Jain corridor - but it works.

needs a bigger sign from Main Street. needs signage in hall. needs updating location in google. you go up a flight of stairs from an interior outside small courtyard. there’s no SIGN. I left. after struggling to find it via maps. then did. but no signage. so I thought, “well surely it can’t be that door there, because surely they put a sign or something.” nope. it’s that one. lol. hope this helps future travellers. in short: signage and send an update to maps. easy to create and do. and makes a HUGE difference.

very friendly and helpful staff. the location of the hostel is perfect, right in the center of the town (the location is wrong, it’s on another street very close by). every hostel floor is equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom so it feels more like a shared apartment than a hostel. would definitely stay here again!

Good place in relation to quality price. the grandmother was super nice and helpful we manage to communicate with each other in Czech and Montenegrin. The guy was not that sweet but still helpful when needed.

The noise in the night, can be a bit complicated if the aim is to rest/sleep

Recommend! If you travel alone it's great place to stay - center of old city, comfortable and quiet.

Really cool place! Welcome staff, comfortable bed, privat box with lock next to bed, clean and nice kitchen with fridge, grill, kettle and all dishes. Perfect wifi. Situated in the center of Old city - 3 minutes walking to beach/cafe, 5 minutes to supermarket. I paid 5 euro for washing and drying my clothes.

Best location at Old Town, views from the windows were dream-likely Also big dorms with AC, lots of wall sockets and lockers are huge, even tho you can leave things on the room because it felt so safe!! The staff was sooooo nice and friendly, really flexible on check-in /check-out timetables and they recommend you places to visit or eat

If I had to say something bad, there was no common area to stay or talk, so we had to use the kitchen (good but no more than 4-5 people fit there)

A taste of old town living.

The staff is there to help you. Everything is near, from markets to pizza slices, ice creams to poetry readings and of course the almighty sea.

No common area BUT: the tradition is to sit just outside the hostel on chairs and steps to socialise on the street like people would do in olden times. What better way to get an authentic experience and do some people watching while soaking in the old rocks.

Medium / below average hostel. It was the cheapest in the city during summer, but only stay there if you have a small budget. Not a place too hang out and relax. Just sleep.
