Hotel Prinzen

The location was good and not that expensive in comparison with other hostels.

When arriving, nobody at the reception, only keys with a paper saying that I could go in my room as the host wasn't there... No soap in the bathroom. Marks on walls, not finished room, lights not totally working... (Should be controlled before the arrival).

The hotel was centrally located in the town we were visiting. It was easy to walk to several locations in the area. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Nice big room, comfortable, warm and clean.

It was January. Only member of staff seemed stressed. Restaurant isn't part of the hotel apparently although all the same building hence presumably why no answer to my table reservation request and the staff of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. Food was basic Italian and OK.

We were mistreated at the beginning. We came for 4 nights. We were 3 adults, an infant and a well-groomed dog. The room where the woman with the dog was supposed to be was spacious with a balcony. After checking in and unpacking, a lady from the reception came, that we had to change the room because of the dog, so we asked that, since this is an obstacle, we would like to go there with my wife and child to crawl - unfortunately the lady was nodding and writing on the phone that he does not agree and we need to change the room. As it turned out, guests from German nationality had just arrived, so it was already clear that we were worse. In 1 room, no mirror in the bathroom, dusty radiators, no English reception staff, no air conditioning or fan. In the 2nd room a thick layer of dust under the bed, no blinds on the bathroom window or frosted glass. In addition, the entrance from the street is very neglected, dusty with cobwebs, passages along the corridor are not finished, and the passages are blocked with boxes. The bathroom door was rubbing against the tiles, making it difficult to open, dust on the windows, doors, missing switch The staff constantly changed their minds in consultation with the boss. They did not respect us, the reception was open very shortly, they did not reply to the booking request to extend the stay on the day of departure, so we asked in the morning about a possible stay with a reduction in the amount for inconvenience and we want to know by 8 o'clock to know whether to go somewhere else or stay. The service lady said around 7:00 that the boss would be there at 8 am and would ask, unfortunately I approached the reception desk several times with a question, she didn't know anything until around 9:00. When we were packed by the car, she stated that she agreed to extend the stay in two rented rooms, when I asked for a discount for the above, she refused. I said I would talk to my family.

located in a beautiful little village. little to no traffic. very picturesque.

local church bell very close and very loud. goes off every 15 mins until late then starts again early.

Nice little hotel, centrally located and recently refurbished. Nice and calm village with few options to eat. Good place to start exploring the black forest

Breakfast was good with lots of options. Nice view of the castle from our balcony.

The bed was 2 single matrasses that kept moving apart. Proximity to the church was annoying as the bells start at 6am. Sometimes the room smelt odd. Also the shower head was broken.
