A charming welcome to Slovenia

A very convenient stopover en route from Italy to Slovenia which felt a million miles from the Italian style hotels just across the border, what with the misty valley location and the stone sign in gothic font welcoming us from the parking area. The mother and daughter team were very helpful and friendly, and our room was perfectly comfortable. We found a wonderful log cabin restaurant hidden in the woods for dinner and had a charming cultural experience to get our holiday underway.

If you’re looking for charming, gorgeous, peaceful and friendly, look no further!

The property is nestled in a quaint, charming location on the outskirts of town making it quiet, relaxing and peaceful. The rooms were clean, elegant and well appointed, and the beds quite comfortable. The guest house itself is magical as it is a piece of history. Our hostess Nastja was incredibly kind and sweet which always brought a smile to our face.

I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice place in the nature, one step from Nova Gorica.

The lady that welcomed us was very kind. We liked the surroundings, the donkey near the car park was super cute and friendly and was a great surprise in the morning. The room was big and comfy, like the shower. The temperature good even if we weren't able to manage it (I don't know why but the remote wasn't working).

We didn't like the fact that the bed was arranged with two different covers instead of one: travelling as a couple, we would have preferred to sleep under the same sheet. In the morning, a person (we guessed the clean lady) tried very hard to open our door, scaring us for one second and making us a little uncomfortable, thinking "at least you could knock instead of trying to break in" especially if the check-out time is not even passed...

Very nice and relaxing stay

Very helpful and nice staff. Everything was clean and ready for us. Hot tub functions perfectly. Location is a bit isolated but perfect for resting. In the hall in front of all apartments is very equipped coffee and tea station.

No toiletries except for hand washing soap are provided. Also, floor tiles are cold so bring your own slippers for walking around the room.

It is OK for one night, being on a road trip. Big private parking. Very nice host.

It smelled very bad in the room, a combination between mold and chlorine. The bathroom is veeery small. The air conditioning not working properly.

Basic - you get what you pay for.

Quiet. Nice towels and bed linen.

Staff. Check-in was abrupt and no desire to help - was referred to do my own internet research when I asked for some local knowledge (that she said she did not know but also made no attempt to find out about for her guests - us - despite the request being made well in advance. The air con was pre-set so you couldn’t adjust to your preference.

Nice room and caring hostess

A little cramped but cozy room, equipped with air conditioning and a refrigerator. Caring hostess. The apartment is located near Gorizia, Nova Gorica and the Socha River Valley.

1) There are no shelves in the bathroom for storing shampoos, gels, deodorants and other cosmetics. Putting these accessories in the cabinet under the sink is very inconvenient. 2) Uncomfortable mattress (my back was very sore). 3) It's a long way to the supermarkets (you need to go by car, but it wasn't a problem for us).
