Not what I expected

It said it was busy and lot of people to hang out with. When I was there in early spring it was quiet. The surroundings were not very fancy 600-800 meters to the more activ area.

Old furnitures and the kitchen was a bit worn out.

Decent value for money, but would rather stay somewhere else.

Good location. Cozy place. Chrome cast service and tv were nice.

Beds had plastic wrap around it to keep the mattress clean. However, during the night it just tears off. Waking up on the mattress without protection and someone else's pee stains next to my head. Also, the plastic makes you sweat during the night and is uncomfortable. Across is a bar which kept me awake during the night. The shower was in the bathtub, uncomfortable as you have to hold the shower head. Also, if you're taller than 1.75m you won't be able to stand straight in this specific double room we stayed in. Due to the inclined walls you couldn't sit on the bed while watching tv which basically makes the tv useless.

Good hostel

Location is ok. Not in the center, but walkable. There is a bus stop very close. A house of Charles De Gaulle, which I liked, is even closer.

The girl at the reception wanted to charge me €2 for each bag in the storage. I explained that another clerk told me it was free, and she agreed, but told me next time you have to pay...

Okay for a couple of nights.

Good location in Vieux Lille. Lots of space in the kitchen and chill room area including outdoor space. Shelves by the bed and good block-out curtains.

Loud people drinking just below the bedroom windows until late. Tight room, very little space to move around. Broken locker box.

Nice cosy place, friendly staff, noisy room if on street side.

Really nice location in the old part of town. Also, the common area was really nice and they hosted a BBQ. Although expensive, you could buy a nice selection of beers from the draft. Including good Belgium beers. Nice outside area on the front and rear.

Room was really noisy next to the street. The bunk beds were the metal ones that made a lot of squeaky noises when you or the other one moved. The room had no airco, but it was really hot inside. So you had to keep the windows open. But having the windows open made it REALLY noisy in the room due to the outside noise. Even with ear plugs. Also you had to keep the curtains open to get at least some air flow. But the bunks did not have any curtains, so it was bright in the room. They also have rooms not on the street side, so these would probably be okay.

Loved that it was in the old part of Lille. Staff were very helpful - even when I was short tempered with the heat. Great base for exploring the region. Fantastic transport links.

No air-conditioning in the room but that was ok as it wasn't too hot but it got very stuffy when the maximum 4 were in the room. Could be quite noisy if windows left open.

Staff are very friendly and the hostel has a good atmosphere.

The bedroom was poor. Quality of mattresses not good at all. They were very thin, very soft and tended to slide off the bed. The room was very small and impoverished. I’ve stayed at the People be for and had a much better experience - this time was very disappointing.

Lovely place to stay, couldn’t have been in a better location, great for live music

We really could have done with a high shelf in the room as we were with small children so it made drinking a coffee difficult, or putting anything out of their reach was quite difficult.

Exceptional

We stayed in a private double room. Very comfortable and spacious with an ensuite that seemed brand new! The TV in the room was a bonus. Beautiful view from the window of the neighbourhood. Kitchen facilities were very handy. Walkable location. Great vibe all around at the hostel, we would definitely stay again!

There was a laundry rack in the room, so I put my towel but someone in the room put his wet clothes over my towel! So much noises in the middle of the night like at 1am, with kids screaming. Some people had very bad manners in the hostel. The shower water splashed everywhere.

Staff a bit obnoxious. Asked for a fan as the rooms are too hot and was told it is a hostal...lol did not ask for air conditioning. Inner courtyard rooms have too much noise and when window is open, smoke enters.

Quiet evening in a beautiful building hostel

The location was great, parking available in front of the hotel, great bars and night experience in the surroundings. The view of our room was beautiful garden, the staff very friendly, hotel was super clean.

Our dubble bed was not confortabel because was twin bed together and as a couple we couldn’t sleep very well together.

Clean and secure

Cute place in very center of Lille. The personnel were very kind and they always make sure that your stay is safe. The property has shared bathrooms but they were ways clean. You can find many areas to socialise with fellow travelers in the building. I bought the cheapest shared room but it was still the most comfy hostel bed I ever had. Your small area has a nice curtain for your privacy. Definitely recommended, I will stay there next time for sure!
