Comfortable stay with lovely staff and great food.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Food in the restaurant and at breakfast was really good! Bed was very comfortable and room had everything you needed. Good shower.

I’ve never stayed at a spa hotel where you have to hire the robes. Even though it was unusual we went to hire them anyway just to be told they didn’t have any left. Room furniture was very dated and scratched etc. People allowed to leave towels on loungers first thing in the morning but not come down for hours.

Forgettable due to stress getting my fisabled huband

The function room was beautifully decoratd for the party. The food was ok and very generous The decor in the hotel is very ostentatious and sttractive

The breakfast wasnt brilliant. The bacon overvooked, the eggs nicely cooked but swimming in fat and the plates were cold. The toaster burnt the toast. There was no choice of milk, just full fat. The corridors were very narrow near the stairlift, which was useless for my husbsnd restricted to a disability scooter. We had to ask staff to .ift this down the stairs to the function and again to the breakfast room. There was no disabled toilet, or any in the function room so had to struggle back up the stairs to the gents. I would not recommend this hotel for disabled, poor facilites for them except the bedroom; but then there were only 2 narrow single beds

Lovely weekend visiting Suffolk

Breakfast had lots of choices. From fruit yogurts to hot full english. We stayed half board and had a 3 course evening meal both nights. Sauna swimming pool jacuzzi and steam room were excellent.

A beautiful interior with lots of facilities. Overall a comfortable stay, but some minor niggles.

Great staff, beautiful decor and building ambiance. The massage was brilliant. The bar and restaurant are lovely . The room overall was clean, as expected and a reasonable size for a single. choice of two shower heads, both great.

The window in my room was painted shut so I couldn't open it for fresh air. The waste trap of the bathroom basin needs cleaning, it was smelly every time I ran water. The positioning of plug sockets meant I couldn't sit at the dressing table and see what I was doing when I dried my hair. I could cancel my room booking up to two days before without charge, but I was informed that I would pay full price for the massage if I cancelled less than two weeks before my stay???? That doesn't make sense to me.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in this warm cosy hotel.

The hotel is a great location for us. Always love the breakfast and new coffee machine. Lots of super friendly staff and the hotel is always busy when we visit, which must be a good sign.

Only quibbles, the heating is always too much for me. But I turn everything off and open the window. My twin bed wasn’t very comfortable this time. The mattress was too soft but my husband’s mattress was firm.

Everything lost could go on…dodgy tv brackets..bed board fell off hanging on my 2 bits off thin wood…shower hanging off the wall…cushions stained

Nice big pool; mini pastries, fresh fruit, and hash browns at breakfast were nice.

Disappointing overall.

The breakfast was exceptional and so were the breakfast staff. They were constantly clearing, cleaning & replenishing. The size of the bedroom was good.

The hotel needs a complete refurb. It looks very tired & dated. The beds were extremely uncomfortable which is our main complaint.

The 2nd floor room was small, but comfortable. No "Restaurant guide in the room. Had lunch in the bar.

Training in how to operate the "stair-lift up to the restaurant. I'm disabled and have mobility problems, I found it difficult to walk up the stairs.

Disappointed with the early check out at the spa.

Breakfast was lovely, lost of choices to suit every one.

Check out for the spa was far too early. Booked for a night stay with my partner; we arrived at 5pm after work, used the spa for an hour or so and then went to the room to get ready for dinner. The following morning we had breakfast, checked out at 11am and had planned to use the spa for a few hours before heading home. Unfortunately we were told that we were only allowed access to the spa until midday, I had assumed we would be able to use the facilities the following day after paying to stay overnight, or at least until 3pm so that we would have had 24hrs there in total if we had checked in at the designated time of 3pm the previous day. Was really disappointing and spoiled out experience as the whole plan was to have dinner, stay overnight and use the spa to have a relaxing day.

Comfortable, clean and nicely furnished

The suite was very nicely furnished. The kingsize bed was comfy. The evening meal was amazing. Breakfast was tasty. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were very enjoyable.

The sofa bed in the suite was uncomfortable.
