Great Character Apartment

Matteo was awesome. The apartment is a character home and a good short walk to the main piazzas. Breakfast was great and plenty of it so very happy to recommend them.

Best staff ever

Great location. Close to the train station and within the medieval walls. Room was spacious and staff was lovely, always offering help, advices and making us feel at home.

Amazing B&B in the middle of the old town of Viterbo, full of history! Great value for money too!

Owners Matteo and Noemi were extremely helpful to welcome us to their B&B, tell us about Viterbo and offer us recommendations for places to eat and visit. The breakfast served by Noemi was superb too !!!

We forgot to ask for the air conditioner remote controls when checking in, then we left for dinner and returned late, when we realised we did not have them in the room we did not want to bother our owners with that as they had been so nice to us with everything else. Perhaps the owners could remind guests that the aircon remote controls are not in the rooms, and guests should ask if they want to use the aircons in their rooms to get the remotes. Not a big problem for us for sure.

This accommodation was outstanding in every way. My bed was warm and so comfortable, my ensuite spacious and clean. Well situated. The hosts were exceptional. My breakfast for one was the most amazing spread and far too much but featured local foods.

We had good stay.

Very nice and attentive host. Room was small but clean, bed was very comfortable. Host helped carry my luggage to the room (2 flights). There was no parking at the facility, had to park few min away but manageable. No complimentary breakfast or coffee. We paid 12 euro for 2 of us for breakfast which was decent (focaccia, croissant, sweets, cookies and coffee). We asked for fruit, she brought yogurt and oranges, apples.

Lovely stay, within walls and easy walking to old town centre. Great host. Nice breakfast

Viterbo the hidden gem

The B and B was in an excellent location for access to all parts of the wonderful medieval town of Viterbo, on foot. Matteo the host could not have been more helpful. Ordering taxis was useful as many people in the town spoke little English. His recommendations for what to visit and where to eat were spot on. He was also helpful in attempts to locate a bag we left in a cafe in the airport railway station. The breakfasts were excellent along with the pastries, he cooked us fresh Italian meat and bread dishes. This was so we could have savoury type foods that we are more used to back in England. The rooms were spotlessly clean with a view of the town from our upstairs window. All in all an excellent stay. Many thanks to Matteo and his partner.

Great!

Our host, Matteo, provided and amazingly warm welcome to the beautiful city of Viterbo. We were not familiar with the town or the region of Italy at all and he made us feel at home. He reached out the morning of our arrival and helped us find convenient parking and recommended some things to see/do during our stay. I strongly recommend staying here if visiting Viterbo.

Two days in Viterbo

The B&B is located in a quiet neighborhood but very close to all that makes Viterbo enjoyable. It is a beautiful facility, cared for lovingly, and a delight to be in. The owner is friendly, very helpful and always available. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Superb

The house is located in the medieval oldtown of Viterbo. All the restaurants, shops and sightseeing are about 5-10 minute walk from the house. The surrounding area is quiet and safe. Our host Matteo gave us lot of information about the nearby shops and even booked a restaurant for us. He is really friendly , lively and seemed to know all the people around the town. All that made us feel cosy throughout our stay. Our room was clean with all the necessary equipment. Bed was comfortable so that I even took a nap at noon. There was also a kitchen where we could make coffee and sandwiches. Also a fridge where to store the food. If we ever visit Viterbo again, we would choose Medieval House.

We would have loved to eat Matteos famous breakfast but due to corona restrictions it was not possible at the time. Instead of that, our breakfast was arranged in a cafe around the corner.

And excellent location. We were in Italy for five weeks and he was the friendliest Host. He spoke excellent English and gave us a lot of helpful information. It was very close to all the bars restaurants and nightlife but far enough away that we could sleep in perfect peace at night with the window open

Really nice apartment with a really nice host :) Everything was great. Also the upfront communication with Matteo (the host) was great and he helped us a lot with getting there and finding a good parking spot.

Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy Matteo's breakfast due to local covid restrictions so we have to try that another time ;)

Medieval House

Matteo was a gracious and very helpful owner who went out of his way to ensure that his guests were comfortable and had all the information to get the most out of their stay in Viterbo. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was superb. Matteo’s restaurant recommendation - Dal Sol Bruno was spot on. In fact the restaurant was so good that we ate their both nights. Fabulous B&B in a historically significant medieval town. The hot springs nearby were a perfect place to relax and unwind.

There was nothing to dislike about this B&B.

Die Lage ist stark: Mitten in der Altstadt von Viterbo, alles fußläufig erreichbar. Der Ort der ersten Papstwahl im Palazzo dei Papi liegt praktisch um die Ecke. Wer Geschichte spüren will, ist hier richtig. Das Konzept ist konsequent umgesetzt: Man schläft tatsächlich in einem mittelalterlichen Haus kein aufgesetztes Design, sondern authentisches Ambiente. Genau das macht den Reiz aus. Wer sterile Standardhotels sucht, ist hier falsch. Wer Charakter will, bekommt ihn. Die Gastgeber sind außergewöhnlich herzlich. Man fühlt sich nicht wie eine Zimmernummer, sondern wie ein willkommener Gast. Besonders die Chefin bringt eine Wärme mit, die den Start in den Tag einfach besser macht. Das ist kein Marketing – das merkt man sofort. Das italienische Frühstück ist überdurchschnittlich gut und preislich absolut fair. Keine überzogenen Fantasiepreise, sondern ehrliche Qualität. Wichtig: Es ist ein B&B für 1–2 Nächte. Genau so sollte man es auch buchen. Wer Luxusresort erwartet, hat das Konzept nicht verstanden. Wer eine charmante, persönliche Unterkunft mit starkem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sucht, macht hier nichts falsch. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Atmosphäre, Geschichte und echte Gastfreundschaft schätzen.

Im Bad wären ein paar zusätzliche Haken für Handtücher praktisch. • Im Zimmer könnten zusätzliche Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Jacken sinnvoll sein. • Die Parksituation sollte vor Ankunft klarer kommuniziert werden. Eine kurze automatisierte Nachricht mit Wegbeschreibung würde das Thema sauber lösen. Das sind keine gravierenden Kritikpunkte, sondern einfache Optimierungen mit großer Wirkung.
